The Walking Dead

So he died at night and hung out in the bathroom all night long and waited till morning to attack? That was nice of him. Lol

I think he attacked the first guy in the cell late at night then chowder on him until morning.

SOME NEWS ON THE SPIN-OFF?!!

AMC's The Walking Dead Companion Series to be a Prequel?

AMC announced in September that the network was in the initial stages of developing a companion series to "The Walking Dead."

Now, TVLine is hearing that the new series "will be a prequel of sorts, one that would chronicle the early days of the epidemic and the effort to contain it.".

Creator Robert Kirkman previously told IGN that the new series would be set in a different location and would feature completely different people. "It definitely won’t be set in Georgia… It’s important to us that this show exists on its own. The spin-off has to be a show worthy of existing, or else we've all sold out."

Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert are on board as executive producers, with AMC Studios set to produce. The companion series has a target on-air date of 2015. "The Walking Dead" is based on the comic book series created and written by Kirkman and published by Skybound, Kirkman's imprint at Image Comics.

I was hoping it would be a prequel to see the early days of the outbreak and how everything went to south trying to contain/stop it!!

Meh rent any zombie movie to find out. Thats the thing I like about Walking Dead, its what has happened after everything completely breaks down. The initial outbreak story has been done to death, so this actually does come across as a money grab. IMO

The Walking Dead is unlike any zombie film. Remember everyone is already infected. It will be fun to see what the trigger was, was it an attack of some kind or a natural phenomenon?

I hope we don't see the trigger. I prefer the mystique of the unknown in this case.

Sorry, but the initial outbreak is and always will be extraordinarily entertaining.

I hate a prequel idea perhaps a side by side or mirrored show would be better

A side by side could go so wrong in so many ways and would most likely always be seen as a copy cat.

Why not tell the story of the guys they encountered in Atlanta?

That's so vague man. How about that guy they met at that one place that one time, you know in Georgia by that house. You know the one with the two arms and two legs and a head? :)

But the part of the appeal of Walking Dead is it's an after the Breakout story.

They only met one group in Atlanta, the gangsters doing good group. Lol

I think that last weeks episode was a tribute to Herschel and that we may see the last of Herschel in the next few episodes before the halfway breaking point in the season.

Ben Nichols solo song to open the show tonight. Very well done who ever is in charge of the music selection.

Doubt we'll see how it started, I believe Kirkman likes leaving it ambiguous.

I agree. He has stated that he would never tell the origin of the zombie outbreak so unless he has changed his mind I doubt we see it.
