Carl's been going that direction for a while (pretty much since he killed his mom). He's becoming a mini-Gov

it's a good buffer and they can fix it at any time. I have more issue with them not fixing the hole in the prison wall and clearing the entire complex

So, what's the deal with the Governor now? Is he just gone, or will he and the other two guys be a part of the story next season? I thought Morgan was supposed to be back for that episode, too. It wasn't a bad episode, it was just a disappointing finale.

I can understand Carl being traumatized by having to kill his own mom but going from that to cold blooded killer is quite the jump.

I thought the same thing after I posted that response. What is the deal with the rest of the prison? The way I understood it was that they only cleared a wing of the prison out. This whole season there has been no mention of the condition of the rest of the prison.

I thought that the ending was surprising and very good. The show is not all about what we want or what we think should happen.

Think about what took place.....

* Rick regains his sanity.

* Carl loses his humanity.

* Andrea was a shocker for sure. I thought that she would make it.

* Milton dead was expected by most. How he died was surprising and how Andrea died was surprising. "I know where the safety is".

* TG goes insane and mows down his own people. That was a great scene on his end.

* Tyreese and his sister coming over was good.

* I was confused by the Woodbury crew coming to the prison. I guess that they need walker bait and walker food for season 4.

Looking back at the ending of the previous season, the group was in serious trouble. This time they ended it with a feeling of security. You know that is going to end next season. TG and his two henchmen are on the loose, albeit without much of their armaments.

They are obviously not afraid to break from the comic book. I look forward to seeing where they go from here. It gives them a fresh canvas to paint on now.

the ending was kind of a suprise, but it was the best to get ready for next season. i thought they did a good job of misdirecting in the early part of the show. i really thought they had left the prison. it will be interesting to see what happens next year.

I thought it was definitely a surprising episode, and not nearly as much to the battle as I thought there would be. However, there were some good things too. Governor mowing down his own was definitely the most surprising thing to me. And the fact that he survived at all. I guess they figure that his character is too goood for the plot to kill off now, and they're probably right. Now he can wreak havoc at unexpected times next season.

Regarding Carl, I'm not so sure that he wasn't right in shooting that guy. Carl and/or Herschel (can't recall) told the guy to DROP the gun. Instead, the guy was slowly creeping forward, acting like he was trying to hand it over, and possibly trying to pull a fast one on a little kid. I thought Carl had good reason to shoot him. I didn't think it was as bad as Herschel described it to Rick.

I agree about Carl. As cold blooded as they are making him come across, I think he made some good points.

If you tell someone to drop a gun they better damn well drop it.

Herschel is the same guy who kept a barn full of walkers because he was waiting for a cure. I'm not sure I would take his advice in a "war" situation.

I thought that at first too, but then they decide to go to Woodbury to "finish the fight." It doesn't make sense to scare them off and then follow them.

Agree with this. But I think they may be setting him up to be more cavalier about killing. If I'm not mistaken, in the comics Carl becomes a borderline sociopath.

He does, but he has to. He kills one of the kid brothers because nobody else would when the one killed the other because "nobody could die." After that he went pretty sold crazy till he got half his head blown out.

I like it personally, seems more realistic really.

It never shows where Tyreese went when he left the room with the women and children. I thought he was going to go find TG's secret torture chamber and kill zombie Milton before he chomps Andrea.

I was also expecting Rick and the others to return to the prison only to find that TG and his remaining two men went back to the prison, slaughtered Herschel and the others and had taken Judith. Season ends with a scene of TG holding her and calling her "Penny".

I disagree. You've got 30 people invading your "home", with their minds set on killing all of you. You think their great plan was to shoot at their feet and yell at them? Lol no. After the attackers left, Glenn and them even mentioned attacking woodbury and finishing them off. Why go so out of your way to not hurt anyone while standing feet above their heads with the ability to kill many, only to suggest attacking and killing them as soon as they leave the prison?

Agreed, in that world you do not take chances. Drop your weapon or DIE. They gave the guy a chance..Carl seems to be becoming mini Shane.

Would like to see Morgan some more in the next season.

I enjoyed it. Not the mind blowing ending we got for S2 but it wasnt what I was expecting at all. That's a good thing. Major deviation from the comics.

I'm happy and sad Andrea is gone. As annoying as she was she went out in a chitty way. May have deserved more of a Geri's death but oh well.

Glad Rick found redemption with Lori's ghost by taking in the Woodbury refugees.

Carl, what can I say, he is becoming mini Shane. He is losing his trust in his dad's decisions.

Good point by MG about Tyrese. I had forgotten about that scene until he mentioned it.

They didn't decide to go to Woodbury that was Rick's decision after the girl from Woodbury told them Andrea left and should have been at the prison.

Glen was all about going to Woodbury to fight, and they ran into the girl on the way to Woodbury.

Wherever Scott Gimple takes the storyline next season, you can be rest assured that TG will factor in somewhere as a threat. The storyline is likely to become more complicated and exciting.

He might in fact be mini Shane. Wasn't there some hinting in earlier episodes that Carl might be Shane's? I know that's the case with the baby, but I thought there was some indication that Shane and Lori's relationship went back for quite a while. I could be wrong about that, it's been a while.
