The Walking Dead

Yeah, I mean we've had so much build up to this big showdown and then not much really happened. The gov takes 30 ppl in and no one is hit at all. These ppl hit zombies with headshots all the time, but glen and Maggie can't hit a fleeing group of 30 from 4ft above their heads LOL..
Idk, just a lot of buildup for not much of anything imo.

Agree with that. Also, I'm disappointed the prison/governor storyline will continue into next season.

For me, the only thing this episode set up is the suspense of wondering when/where the Governor pops back up.

I'm wondering how much longer they're going to stay in the prison. It will be interesting to see why they're forced out (assuming they leave).

I really liked this episode. Obviously I'm not as much of an expert as some of you. So here's my novice breakdown:

1. Didn't expect the brutality to Milton.

2. Didn't expect TG to go to town on his people.

3. Love Michonne in this episode. More human emotion than I've seen in her up to this point, both with Rick and with Andrea.

4. Andrea's character was completely explained in my mind. She lost her sister and wanted to do whatever she could to not lose another single life - and the life she had to take was her own. Complete irony.

5. Rick is back. He's human again.

Great way to end it but I didn't see the gov making it. Nice to see Carl next on the list to lose humanity. Give his character some depth. Was looking forward to a showdown but liked seeing TG go off the deep end. In much better shape than when they left the farm so I would think the beginning of next season we might get into the hunters. And the roaming gov makes things very treacherous. Where was Morgan?

I was expecting Morgan to show up at any moment this episode. I think he will be back next season.

Great episode!

I like that the show isn't afraid to be original. Everyone was expecting some huge battle and they took a different direction. I don't think it was realistic to believe 5 or 6 people would make a stand against 30 or more. Well played.

Not surprised to see Milton go. His survival seemed to be linked to the gov. Doesn't bother me to see Andrea gone also. Her character was just annoying to me.

I thought it was good, albeit not what I was expecting, and I was disappointed a bit at the "battle". I also thought the part with Andrea drug on way too long.

Glad andrea died. and I thought they did it in a great way too really.

However, I had to watch on a stream and it screwed up at the end, so I want to ask to make sure. was the final scene just the cross for andrea's tombstone or was there more?

I thought with the exception of 2 episodes, these 8 were pretty disappointing. I'll see how I feel when I watch them again.

I agree 100%. And the season finale was a huge disappointment, felt like just another episode. I kept hearing they are building to this episode then that happened. On the plus side I won't be going crazy waiting for the next season, like I usually do.

That was it

I figured it was andrea's. kinda disappointed because milton ended out being kinda cool in the end.

They built up the battle the entire season, the beginning of the episode showed the Governor saying "the fight will go down to the last man." The following parts also bother me: They mow down walkers with pinpoint accuracy, then not a single person gets injured during the battle. The girl confronts the Gov. saying "that was a slaughter" (despite no one being injured). Then the governor mows down everyone (pretty good shooting with one arm), and rides off into the sunset. Andrea (a pretty experienced fighter) has both hands and her legs free while Milton is still a couple feet away, and doesn't survive. Also it felt like I spent the majority of the time watching commercials.

so many mouths to feed now. but im glad Tyrese finally joined the group

Tyrese joining the group was one of the few things I liked. His character is refreshing, genuine and speaks his mind.

Again I agree with all points. The thing for me is I notice the things that are "off" a lot. And there is usually one or two an episode, but there were several in this one. Idk for me it was just a huge letdown. Felt like a regular episode instead of a season finale.

Did anyone hear Bob from Chattanoogas call on The Talking Dead? "The hour is coming, all that is in the grave shall hear his voice." Wtf!?!?!?

Really? I had her pegged for biting it

I held out hope for Andrea. She's too good of a fighter to have gone out the way she did. On another note though... Any idiot who chats like buddies for an hour with the inevitable zombie that's going to kill them rather than focusing on trying to free themselves deserves to die. She couldn't have used her feet to kick him off and buy herself a few seconds?

"I didn't want anyone else to die". Just shut up and shoot yourself you stupid cow.

Maggie and Glen weren't trying to kill them. Glen even yelled, "get out of here", and shot at their feet. You don't yell "get out of here" if you're planning on killing them.

It being a "slaughter" was HER interpretation of what happened as an untrained fighter who really didn't want to be there. They got scared by the flash bangs and smoke grenades and scattered.

That was a poor finale imo. I could be reading too much into this but I think something happened high up in the production level with this finale. I think several things got changed at the last minute either by the writers, the producers what have you. Lenni James's IMDB said he would be in the season finale episode now all of a sudden it's changed. There was nothing wrong with Carl in the last episode then all of a sudden he's bat shlt crazy?! Someone needs to tell AMC that crazy is not a virus that you can catch. The gov not getting killed just randomly drives off into nowhere land, with two buddies who clearly know he's crazy now, not even to return to the town he spent a long time building? Rick takes in like 30 more people with no way to really feed them, unless they took the towns supplies.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.... we're STILL going to let zombies freely roam around the front yard.:good!:

I'll tell you how they're going to leave the prison. Those 30 idiots they brought in there with them die and turn into zombies.
