The Walking Dead

Guess we'll agree to disagree. I find MM to be a good show yet extremely overrated, and I strongly disagree its acting is much better than TWD's. MM has been gotten quite stale, both in story and acting.

As you say, agree to disagree but I think there's an argument to be made about the story getting stale for Mad Men but I just don't see how you can compare from an acting standpoint. When the episode that involved Morgan came on it reminded me about just how average most of the actors in the show are because his scenes stood out so significantly to me.

I've defended TWD from day one in that you can't have a show where every episode is packed with zombie slaughtering. It would be cool at first but quickly lose the interest of it's viewers. That said, the character development over the last few episodes has not only been epic but also very well done.
I'm still in awe of the speech Morgan gave in the Clear episode. Not many people mention it but Andrew Lincoln did a great job in that episode as well.

You don't have to have zombie slaughtering every episode, but you don't have to have 40 minutes of just talking either. They are getting ready for a war, they should be prepping more for that, than worrying about getting married. You are right constant zombies would get old and lose viewers. But no action will eventually lose you viewers too. You can cover character development in the flow of the show, instead of it becoming the show. Again JMO I know some people get rabid when you voice displeasure. No I am not referring to you Coug. :)

The show is more about character development and how you lose your humanity than zombies. If you don't like that I think you might as well change the channel because this is the direction it's going. The comic moves pretty fast so try that but the story is a little different. I think the last three have been the best of the season.

BadJerry aka E-Thug.
:)

Jerry, I think what would make you happy is some Boyd Crowder on TWD.

I'm gonna pretend like the E stands for enigmatic.

Boyd would have already snuck into Woodbury, said some slick Boyd shiz then blew that place up. Tell me a talk fest between Boyd and the Gov wouldn't be the greatest TV ever. Lol

Don't get me wrong I love the show, picking up the pace a little would be cool though. They just hang out talking with no worries like they know exactly when the gov is coming. Personally I'd take a page from Morgan and be booby trapping the heck out of the perimeter.

I just don't see the acting in MM being that superior to TWD. I'll agree it's better but mostly because it pretty much has to be, and I don't think it's really all that much better. If you were talking the first 2 seasons of MM I'd be more inclined to agree.

Honestly that would be something else seeing that conversation. Comparing Rick with Boyd in that situation kind of makes Rick look pretty weak honestly. Boyd would have seen right through all that crap.

A joke, but 100% inappropriate.

Is this for real, or are you being sarcastic?
Surely you aren't really offended by a stereotype about enjoying fried chicken, right? If so, you must have also been offended by the post I quoted about them being more athletic.
I don't want to go off on your lack of a sense of humor, because I really suspect this was meant sarcastically.

The pace of the story this season has been fine IMO. Compared to the dreadful pace of the show when it was set at the camp site and the farm, we are pretty much going at warp speed right now.

The same thing could be done for The Lion King and Hamlet.

That one was entirely intentional though. just don't let the kids know scar cuckled Simba's mom.

Plus Timone and Pumba (ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN) sadly don't die in the end. That would be too awesome.
