So I've been re-watching season 1 they're replaying in black and white.

One difference I've noticed is that walkers were much more capable. They could run/jog, use objects like rocks to break glass, and even climb fences. Now all they can do is shuffle slowly.

I'm not sure of the exact time line, but I believe it's been about a year or so since the outbreak. That's a year for the zombies to decompose and get weak.

You had a change in directors after year one. Also remember that the walkers have not a lot of food to give their bodies energy. The body still has to have energy to function, even if one is a walker. The walkers will cease to function over time if they do not eat, per what I read about an episode of the Talking Dead.

The black and white episodes give the show a really different look and feel. It is cool.

I'd thought about the food supply aspect. Dwindling food supply could easily affect their mobility.

Didn't know about the change in directors though. Maybe the new guy wanted slower more intimidating walkers. Another thing I noticed is the season 2-3 walkers are a lot more grizzly. Beat up, injured, bloody, broken, ect. Although that too could be a new director want I guess.

I have read, without giving spoilers, that tonight's episide is the overall best episode of the season. The storyline, the script-everything is said to be very good.

I expect that the are making a supply run and find some people who have been surviving by themselves in that town.

It would be too coincidental that one person could find Rick after months and the huge distance between them

Good episode IMO. I have always wondered about Morgan and will continue to do so, but at least we know what has happened.

They also are bringing Michonne deeper into the storyline and developing her character. They have slowed the show down the past two weeks to develop characters and the story line.

The poor guy with a back pack ended up as road kill. Speaks volumes of how they all have changed their view of the world, when they left him to be dinner and then took his back pack at the end.

Finally back after not watching since the last season 1 episode. Just found out ricks wife is pregnant :eek:

Trying to catch up!
