The Walking Dead

Well I didn't want to give that away just in case it still ends up happening on the show. Technically HE doesn't kill Lori but it happens when his people attack the prison.

There are some major differences between the comic and where the show is at this point. For one, the main group was still much bigger. Herschel has more kids than in the show. Otis, Dale, and Sophia are still alive as well as another set of twin kids. In fact Dale is the second character that gets his leg chopped off. The first one died due to blood loss but Dale survives the procedure. He and Andrea are also an item. T-Dog is a different chacter who was a NFL player that ended early after injury. His role was a lot bigger as he and Rick become good friends. Michonne happens upon the prison and joins the group before ever discovering Woodbury.

Then of course there is no Daryl or Merle.

Having said that, I like the show better. The book is good and gets better as it goes along but the early stories feel rushed because they weren't sure if it was going to last or not. Shane's story line is particularly weak in the comics and the time spent on Herschel's farm is only a couple issues before he kicks them out (but eventually joins them at the prison).

You can't film this show in GA without having a 'Daryl' or a 'Merle' - it just wouldn't be realistic

I haven't read the comic but I also don't like to hear a lot about it because I don't want to know what's about to happen in the show. If I remember correcty though regarding Michonne...

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!
Highlight below to reveal

The two zombies Michonne was dragging around were her father and brother

That's incorrect!

Here is a link to the full story comic (all in one jpg) that was written by Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman for Playboy Magazine (link does not go to a Playboy site) this past March issue (I think)

One thing that consistently bothers me about this show is the fact that someone continues to mow the grass.

Zombexicans?

That was hard to watch. Leaving one child you couldn't protect in order to give the other child a chance.
