The Walking Dead

Just what do some of you expect the show to do, have wall to wall fights with walkers?

No, I expect them to move the story along. The time for character development should be done. We know enough about Daryl now. Beth and Bob really aren't that big enough to devote much time for backstory, and now we've had situations where things have been introduced that hasn't been seen again for 2-3 weeks. Abraham hasn't been seen since he was introduced, Carol back with Tyreese was 3 weeks ago and so it's almost going to be a month between her reintroduction and moving that part along.

Maybe there's a huge payoff; I'm not ruling it out but based on last year they've already shown they can build up to a meh finale.

Could be but definitely not close to the hunters in the graphic novel. I'm saying terminus is cannibal land.

I hope not, because like I said I think they are building that up to be maybe like Alexandria or move into the Negan storyline.

The reason I hope it's not the Cannibals is really the Cannibals storyline wasn't really THAT big in the comics. It wasn't nearly on the scale of the Governor, Alexandria, or the ongoing Negan storyline. It felt more like a blip compared to all those. So I don't want them stretching out that storyline because like I said, there wasn't that much to the storyline to begin with.

What about this. Read this somewhere on a forum and like it. Ok, Gabriel has Beth but Daryl doesn't know that and assumes she's dead or gone. He goes nuts joins the Bandits and gets bit in the season ender. Last scene has him being hit with a rifle and KOd. Opening of next season has the hunters eating Daryl and talking about tainted meat. Now that's some good TV. Throw in there Rick fighting off Carl's attackers and Maggie committing suicide and bang

I'm not sold on Beth being kidnapped by the Hunters. In fact, the funeral home is probably not the Hunter's house.

The person who took Beth was probably the person who lived in the funeral home. That person was meticulous about keeping the house neat and clean. In addition, that person also took time to embalm and beautify walkers for a burial. I believe that the person who took Beth was escaping the walkers himself.

The car was black with a white cross on it so I think it's Gabriel who is supposed to be introduced this season. That's my new thought anyway.

This would improve the show immensely. I want a Game of Thrones "Red Wedding' to happen, but I don't think the writers have the balls to do it.

They macheted Herschel like 6 episodes back and have routinely killed off main characters, including a head shot to Sophia...

While it may not have been a Red Wedding, they've had their share of "WTF's!"

Without a doubt but could you imagine the shows most popular character being eaten by cannibals? Epic

He knew she would follow eventually. You couldn't see that?.

First, who knows if she would have followed. He tried the kiss follow bit, which was all kinds of stupid. Second, he in fact left her alone after saying he can't let Maggie be alone. It was just kind of dumb.

You do realize none of us mentioned walkers right? Its about dragging what could be one episode into 3, not walkers. In fact there were a lot of walkers this episode, and the pace was terrible.

I kind of thought it was dumb to have Daryl open the door like that; I mean I know earlier it was a dog, so he might have thought the dog was back, but considering how careful he usually is, I find it hard to believe at this point he would just fling the door open like that. Didn't the door have a window? How about glancing out the window before you just open it wide and let the walkers all in?

This is what I'm thinking as well.

Bob and I knew she'd follow and so did the show staff. You're the only one in the dark about this. :)

I thought it was interesting that Lauren Cohen didn't know how the public viewed Bob until she was recently told.

You sound more and more like me every week. Lol

Edit: didn't he peak through the boarded up window the first time? Wouldn't you hear 10-15 moaning walkers at the door?

He left her alone. Period. There is no arguing that. Lol

What's next for Beth do you think?

Man I'm not sure, I don't think it was the group that found Daryl. I think the house they were in belonged to whoever was in the car. The walkers being released on the house was definitely a setup, to drive them out and potentially separate them. Other than that I'm not sure. You?

I personally think Beth was picked up the Cannibals (not Daryl's group) and Beth is a goner by the end of the season.

If you need a reference, she'll be taking Dale's spot in the comics.
