I have no idea what my max is either. Don't really have the urge to know. I jsut started back working out on a regular basis in early Dec. It had been about 9 years for me. I do a balanced cardio/weights workout. Actually I probably do more cardio than lifting. I also work my abs pretty hard(almost every day). It seems to be coming back pretty quickly. I started off on bench with 3 sets of 12 at 100lb and have worked my way up to 3 sets of 12 at 155lb. My max when I graduated high school was 275. I still feel a ways off of that. I am only working my upper body 2 days a week. In high school I would do upper body 3 days a week.

What are you doing to work out your abs?
 
youtube it. its a new workout craze that's goin on. its pretty good i have some friends who are doing it and love it. you might wanna see if there is a crossfit gym in your area. youtube crossfit, and a billion videos come up

I know there is no crossfit gym here, might be one in charlotte. The only gyms here are the Y, golds, peak fitness, and Omni. I love doing videos, so I might have to check it out, but my computer is in no room for me to work out, so I'll have to figure out how to get it on the tv.
 
no no, its not something you can watch on a comp and do. i was saying check it out, they have videos of the workouts. we have one in huntsville that my friends go to. its already packed out so they will be opening a diff one. you'd be in great shape, but i like lifting weights(bodybuilding) too much to change to crossfit right now.

Oh well, I like working out to videos, I don't like just sitting behind a computer and watching.
 
check it out seriously just to see what its about. it challenges you which is what has me interested. type in crossfit, and check it out
 
I play football for my high school and we have a helluva weight program. I am 15 and bench 260, clean 245, and squat 485. I lift five days a week, four of those I work out twice a day.
 
how tall are you and how much you weigh? are you a lineman? and let me ask you for the bench do you wear the bench shirt you know the rubber shirt the restricts the range of motion so you don't actually do a full rep, but you can put on more weight?
 
I am a lineman, although I am only 5'11 205. Im trying to get up to 215 for the start of the season though. I have no idea what that shirt is I just go down to my chest.
 
it's a skin tight rubbery shirt and it takes about 3 ppl to help you get it on. its ridiculous if you ask me, bc these ppl will bench a ridiculous amount, but its not truly their bench max
 
I think ive seen a vid of ronnie coleman wearing that thing. He then proceded to do a 2000 lb leg press. It was sick.
