The VN workout thread!

i'm reading x-rep and saw Undergrip rope rows...never heard of those, and looks like google hasn't either. You do these where you would do the seated cable rows or standing on a regular cables?

i use this, but it has some limitations. i eat a lot of russian recipes, which aren't on there obviously, and including the individual ingredients doesn't quite get you there accurately. i think their excercise calorie burning estimates can be unreliable (walking (they say that walking 2.5 miles/hr burns more calories than water volleyball).

i do like it for keeping track of my (pitiful) protein intake.

Have you ever used anything that you couldn't find one thing to bitch about?

what kind of russian recipes do you eat? Sounds like some good stuff...

pelmeni (which are little meat dumplings), vareniki (which are fruit and/or cheese dumplings), different russian stews and soups, russian potato salad (which is super yummy!), and lots of boiled buckwheat (which, luckily for me, is actually on dailyplate!).

Has anyone ever taken creatine ethyl ester or CEE? I have taken monohydrate and I was going to switch, but I did not know if it was as effective.

I would recommend Pump Fuel or NoXplode for pre workout or CellMass for post workout. Bodybuilding.com has really good prices and gets to you within a couple of days.

Most of those have ethyl ester among others.

The monohydrate is good, but once you stop taking it you see a big loss in muscle mass. Plus it is kind of a pain b/c you have to take so much of it for it to be effective. I was just looking for an alternative and didn't know if anyone has tried CEE.

Before I got married and was committed to lifting I was on CellMass. I was using 100lb dumbells my last two sets for bench press.

Now days I'm off Cellmass but still workout (now can only do 90 and sometimes 95 lb db's) and am trying to get back to that point.

I've been using pre-workout stuff and just downing some protein and vitamins.

cell tech gave me a ridiculous jump in strength, but i have stomach problems anyways and it messed me up. so i'm tryin the monohydrate
