The VN workout thread!

i seemed a little stronger, but that could of been the cellmass. other than that, thats it...I'm starting to take some casein, so hopefully that will put more weight on me.

i hear ya, i can tell small changes, ex. i see more peak in my bicep, more def in my shoulders, and my forearms are starting to get thicker. still lovin it

I contemplated and finally started my non lifting working regime. Although I will cheat and bench and leg press.

1200 calories a day and burning 4500 in cardio a week. I'm about to incorporate a "core strength" workout once I get back down to highschool weight (190). I do allow myself one cheat day a week with the diet.

At 38 the days of maxing out on the bench are gone. I just want to be healthy again. Of course I have a recurring dream that I finally get in the best shape of my life, and get run over by a bus the next day...

hahaha lex ur dream is awesome.

i'm 26, and i haven't maxed out on anything in probably 2-3 years. i hit 350 on bench and said well that's good enough. doubt i cld do that rt now, but that's because my training went from wanting strength to wanting to be more ripped.

I maxed out at 330 in college (keep in mind that I was 5'9" and weighed about 215 at the time). All that early strength training left me with nothing but a set of man boobs....

I've spent the last 10 years of my life between 230 and 240. I have learned in the last year that restricting calories is really the only way for me to stay healthy.

i cld nvr gain weight in college due to playing bball, weighed 220 sr yr at 6'8. now i'm at 250, but i'm trying to bulk up, ur restricting calories, i'm taking more in

I'll be perfectly honest, I was dragging this morning. I only ran a mile and a half in 12:57.

I would like to think it is because I am sick and on medicine but I keep telling myself how weak I am.

I'm sure you feeling sick and the meds, played a role in your time. Dont beat yourself up so much, at least you do some form of exercise.

:)
That is the problem, I have to!

I need a circuit of push ups, sit ups, pull ups, mountain climbers and jumping jacks before running.

It cleared my nose out but I am dragging.

I still have to bench tonight when I am at work. You know that special lunch time activity!

I need to add some lifting to my exercise, throwing produce once a week doesn't always cut it. I'll never look like a body builder, some defintion would be nice. It would be nice if i could stick a 60ml syringe into my fat and suck it out.:)

That's why I do more incline. It keeps that bulk off and holds up better long term, at least that's what I read in Stallone's book.

I've wondered what I could max. Over the summer I could do bench w/ 100 lb dumbells 8 times. Have no clue what that would translate to.

I have no idea what my max is either. Don't really have the urge to know. I jsut started back working out on a regular basis in early Dec. It had been about 9 years for me. I do a balanced cardio/weights workout. Actually I probably do more cardio than lifting. I also work my abs pretty hard(almost every day). It seems to be coming back pretty quickly. I started off on bench with 3 sets of 12 at 100lb and have worked my way up to 3 sets of 12 at 155lb. My max when I graduated high school was 275. I still feel a ways off of that. I am only working my upper body 2 days a week. In high school I would do upper body 3 days a week.

I ran approx 14 miles Saturday, around 7 miles last saturday, and two weeks ago 16 miles. Anything over 13 miles my legs turn to jello and I have a hard time continuing.
