I wrestled in highschool and all I did was cut out Cokes and cut down on food portions and I lost 20 pounds over the course of a season. I've really let go though
i think you've asked me about it before. I've read a little on it. I'm actually doing the workout that's in the new muscle n fitness magazine. Which takes me forever in the gym...I'll be in the gym for about 2 hrs. for just myself, no workout partner. So i may drop a few exercises, haven't decided yet.
have fun. u ever heard of x-rep? i bought 2 of their e-books "Beyond X" and "Ultimate Mass Workout". i started the "Ultimate Mass Workout" this week. all i have to say is i've never been as physically drained w/ my muscles actually shaking. xreps are unbelieveable
I actually searched about x-reps after reading this. I just got done with a workout and tried some for a couple of my sets and I can definitely feel it. I'm gonna give these a try for the next few weeks since I've kinda plateaued lately and have been looking for something new. Thanks for bringing these to my attention Mania.
i use to train one body part a day, and spend an hour or more on each body part. very slow gains.
x-rep you do less sets, you train like 2-3 body parts a day, and by the time ur done you are literally spent. the Ultimate Mass Workout book has like 5-6 diff workouts depending on ur experience level and how many times a wk u want to train. i'm on a 5 day routine. i spend an hour lifting tops a day and actually get more done. i honestly can't explain the feeling even a few days after your first xrep workout.
i found the book online, so i'll have to read up on it. You said there are 5-6 workouts. Which one are you doing?
in the ultimate mass workout book, i'm doing the very last one. it's a mon-fri, but is only 3 workouts. ex. mon workout 1, tue workout 2, wed workout 3, thur 1, fri 2. next monday 3, etc. i'm loving it, disappointed today and tomorrow are cardio only days for me. yest i did legs, nothing like working ur legs so much that you feel like you can barely walk
