LOL, have to always add completeness to your rhetoric ...

EXXON - CEO Darren Woods said on Friday the U.S. oil major is ready to evaluate a potential return to Venezuela in what would be a stunning development after its assets in the South American country were nationalized nearly 20 years ago.

Woods, however, said Venezuela was currently "uninvestable" and significant legal changes are needed.

"It's absolutely critical in the short term that we get a technical team in place to assess the current state of the industry and the assets, understand what will be involved to help the people of Venezuela get production back on the market," Woods said, adding that the visit could happen once appropriate security guarantees were in place.

CHEVRON - Vice Chairman Mark Nelson, who was seated next to Trump adviser Stephen Miller, highlighted the company's 100-year history in Venezuela and its current status as the only American oil major currently operating there. He said the company is ready to increase liftings at its joint ventures with state oil company PDVSA by 100% immediately.

CONOCO - ConocoPhillips CEO Ryan Lance, who also attended the meeting, said that PDVSA may need to be restructured if he were to consider a possible return to the country.

I don't see anything different. Nobody is going to just rush in there to lose money again. It does seem like a good opportunity to pay oil buddies to not complete contracts and have the government backstop it but none this is going forward based on that meeting.

The party to be involved wasn't even there and even they really don't have the ability to produce the environment let alone all the other creditors.

China and Russia ‘on the sidelines whining' as US pushes back on Venezuela: China expert

Gatestone Institute senior fellow Gordon Chang addresses President Donald Trump’s warning to China on ‘Fox Report.’

The guy is an idiot in so many ways. And I hate to say that bc I don't know how you become a two time elected POTUS and be an idiot. Then I realize what that actually means.

But we were told that this was just a "negotiating tactic" on the part of Exxon, that we were just too stupid to comprehend.

Trump said he didn’t like their comments. So they are out.

Should be a lesson to everyone. Either kiss his butt and thank him for everything he does, or get excluded/subpoenaed/prosecuted.
Surprised? I feel like he’s probably been this way his entire business life. It’s worked for him and it’s working now.

LOL, no. Exxon said they were out. Trump simply said OK you won't be part of the deal.

The Exxon guy was just wanting government subsidies. This is a symptom of TDS.

Exxon: "Venezuela in uninvestable!"

Trump: "OK, we'll exclude you from the deal."

You libs: "Damn Trump!"

It's also fun to watch the belated liberal discomfort with seeing subpoenas and such. Where was this when they were cheering on the soft coup that we now call Crossfire Hurricane? I wonder if trump's DoJ will pilfer through anyone's wife's underwear drawer.

Trump had already said before the meeting that oil companies had pledged $100 billion of their own money for upgrades to Venezuelan infrastructure.

How much of that $100 billion was Exxon contributing, and who is going replace their part of the funding?

What difference does that make? Exxon said they didn't want to be apart of the deal. Trump said OK, you won't.

Put another way, the Exxon leadership realized that this is not going to be easy, will take billions and billions of dollars for infrastructure, and many years to get up and running to make any sense, and those facts hurt the Trump narrative that this is going to turn things around quickly.

It won't. And Trump does not like facts, as we know.

Exxon is (rightly) worried that its not $100 billion. Its many times that, and years to come on line in a profitable way.

We will see.

It's still remains:

Exxon: "We're Out"
Trump: "OK"

Head of Conoco said there had to be significant restructuring before investment

Head of chevron said there had to be commitments but could increase production in the next 18 months if it got those

They are all saying the same thing. As is not investable

Chevron, I believe is already in there. These companies are looking for government subsidies. The back and forth is deal making. We'll see where it goes.
