Well I must admit I was surprised this happened now.
I always thought we'd try to capture but not till March or April.
Well, now we know Trump won't ******** about stuff like this. No second-world nations in the Western Hemisphere seems to be the goal. He was talking about Cuba's strangulation due to the capture during his conference. Interesting start to the year, I must say.

Because of what is going on in Iran currently, made sure Khamenei couldn’t escape to Venezuela.

Plus Iran’s drone factories and military bases in Venezuela are now unavailable to them.

Why are the unavailable? We have Maduro. Who is running the country and military?

Also I will acknowledge that Maduro could be a drug lord but I doubt it. He was getting buddy-buddy with Russia and China and the USA doesn't need (As I said) any second world influence in it's backyard. Trump hinted at Cuban struggle so maybe something similar with them communist piggies.

So we have zero troops on the ground and his government is still in control yet we think this is over? Lol. Not that I want troops on the ground. But this seems premature

I am a little concerned about this one as I don't like nation building but impressed at how they took out the leader.

Venezuela has been a problem for some time and a reasonable government in Venezuela could do great things.

Maduro was never Chavez, and he didn't get into or stay in power by himself.

Unless Trump willing to go in and decapitate their entire military and upper political and business echelons, then I don't see much changing other than the face of the government.

There's no chance of us "running the country" without putting boots on the ground, and maybe that's the plan, but he's just not going to put it out there yet because of the blow back it will cause.

Maybe Javier Milei can advise and help install a better government
