Maduro could make NY federal court appearance as soon as Monday, Fox News learns

Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro could make an initial appearance in federal court in Manhattan as soon as this coming Monday, Fox News is told.
The timing could change at this stage, but his appearance will happen "likely Monday," Fox News learned.
President Donald Trump said the U.S. carried out a strike on Venezuela early Saturday and captured Maduro and his wife, who have been flown out of the country. Attorney General Pam Bondi reiterated that Maduro and his wife had already been indicted in the Southern District of New York.

Why not Texas?

Because the SDNY doesn’t play around.

Not quite sure what to make of this. I do have a concern that we've taken it upon ourselves to breach another country's sovereignty to apprehend its leadership.

If Iran issued an artest warrant against Trump for bombing their facilities and was able to kidnap him, how would we feel?

Maduro aint a good dude but this seems to much more driven by oil and the MIC, than anything else...

Yeah, if we're so concerned about dictators, why are we Russia's middleman for their peace plan with Ukraine

There is a large swath of the USA that doesn’t want a forever war that goes on. I personally prefer aiding Ukraine. However, you have to sell that plan to the public with something more in depth than “PUTIN BAD”…..

I think it’s silly people act like we (the US Foreign Policy) can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. But I also Believe there has been no worse damage to the US’ opinion / polling on Russia/Ukraine from those who say “we have to write a blank check to Ukraine because we say so”…..

Even though those checks are hardware and weapons being made here in the USA and not just pallets of cash getting airdropped in Kyiv

The forever war crowd needs to state why it’s good we keep it going or they need to go further by calling for Putin’s ouster and subsequent conflict that comes with it. Other than that, the calling for continuing to fund a war with no end in sight that’s only gonna result in more death is not a strategy I’d recommend. It only results in fatigue.

I personally view the broad number of international community not recognizing Maduro as legitimate leader contradicting themselves as they say breaking sovereignty to arrest a “foreign leader”….

You can’t say he’s illegitimate but then take issue with us conducting an arrest warrant. Especially considering this was an operation that has been done before.

Okay, but how do you make that judgment ? I mean, is it a certain number of other countries that agree that the leader of another country is not legitimate. And therefore, we are given the authority to take that person into custody?

How many is enough? Is there a certain court of international justice that makes that decision?

Can another country decide that Dnald Trump is not the legitimate leader of the United States and take him into custody?

50 countries don’t support that he was the Lawful Head of State.

This isn’t an election…

All good questions.

Regarding your last, I don’t think many countries or UN community view the USA a dictatorship lol. But I guess they (Iran) are happy to try to come arrest Trump.

A lot of people in the US believe Biden wasnt a legitimately elected President. Let's say in 2021 Iran issued an arrest warrant for his arrest and somehow they were able to kidnap him.

How do we feel then?

Those people are idiots. If Biden got got, we would rain fire down on his captors in the most American way possible.

The wife and I were talking about it. As clean as this capture appears, got to wonder if there were elements of the Venezuelan military involved.

Will be interesting to find out what was going on.
I think Rubio behind the scenes did some negotiations, given the apparent lack of opposition around Maduro and the wife included.

Trump has to have an IQ in the 90's.

Rest assured neither China or Russia are concerned. In fact, they're laughing at US bullying small Countries.

Like dunking on a kid on 9 ft goal, then flexing.

Orange baby was the, pardon the ad hominem - I think we're past that now - fat ass who slapped around kids half his size. When the big bully walked up, he stood in his shadow after kissing his ass.

It's in the Art of the Deal. Guy is a giant puss.
TF are you talking about lol?

Iran and Venezuela are both anchors to South America and the Middle East. And we just bitched slapped both of them and China and Russia watched.

You don’t have to like Trump but don’t be an idiot….

You've got to be on some stuff to think the likes of China and Russia are quaking in their boots because we randomly decided to depose the leader of Venezuela.

Besides, we all know this wasn't about "drugs", it was about their oil reserves.
Why is it always “either or” with people?

Why can’t it be both? Or MORE even?

I can't answer those questions without knowing the proven oil reserves of those countries and their willingness to do business with us and trade in dollars

Iran has already gone further skipping an arrest warrant to a death warrant against Trump.

It is, otherwise we would also do the exact same to Mexico and Scheinbaum considering the Mexican cartels operation and narco terrorism influence has likely been a far larger threat to the US. Hard to square this in some ways, but it’s “almost” exactly what we did wrt Noriega years ago…without the oil. See where this goes.
