From the looks of this recruiting class so far he'd need a Lamborghini and I'm not sure that would matter at this point. At some point substance sells better than flashy cars and corny clichés, bricks and all that trash. He lacks substance after actively pursuing the Purdue job and he has no more mortar for his bricks.

It doesn't. If it wasn't for Dobbs they wouldn't have been able to run at all. He opened up the running game for Kamara. If they had to line up and get a tough yard they wouldn't have been able to do it.

Yeah just look at the way ....oh wait.,,there's NO ONE on the face of this earth that has figured out how to beat Saban year in and out.,,and I said Saban because he'll never represent Alabama to me.,,it's the University of Nick Saban..,,and he was their fourth choice as head coach..,

Dungy went on to put together another Super Bowl team in Indianapolis and Gruden went on to obscurity on the football field and became a nice face made for TV where he excels. As a football coach? Not so much, one and done with Dungy's team.

Yeah I like Gruden and think he could still coach. I just don't see it happening. If it was going to he already would have.

I absolutely believe Gruden benefited from Dungys work too. Yes he destroyed his old Raiders team with the Dungy Bucs. And Dungy went on to more success at Indy. Gruden is forever frozen at that Bucs moment. I think Dungy has the more complete resume.

Think a great deal of both but personally I have to tip the hand to Dungy in the comparison for complete body of work.

Yeah, but a one hit wonder who hasn't coached in years with the best QB that's never played a college down is a sure CFP winner. Kinda surprising a lot of the experts here manage to get from the bed (or wherever they passed out) to the bathroom in the morning.

So was Bobby Dodd; that's why GA Tech is in the ACC now. Bobby Bowden picked the ACC over the SEC because he didn't think they could be #1 playing in the SEC. Urban Meyer felt that playing in the SEC was hazardous to his health even without the AL fan diet and lifestyle.

There's enough ex-SEC coaches who failed to produce acceptable winning seasons to fill a moderate size graveyard - the AL machine chewing people up and spitting them out has a lot to do with it. Not that you could ever prove anything, but there's probably reasonable doubt that AL plays by the same rules that the rest of the conference does.

Funny thing is that everybody seems to accept that the SEC is in a "down" year because AL is so dominant and the great sports analysts have proclaimed it so, but bowl season will probably prove them wrong again. But one thing for sure is that as long as schools keep replacing coaches in an attempt to match AL, they will lag behind while trying to reach some level of stability - 4 year coaching stints won't get you there.

Gruden did well in Oakland in spite of Al Davis being bat **** crazy at the time. Oakland shoulda, woulda, coulda stopped the Brady-Bellichik run early with the infamous "tuck rule" BS.

Of course, the NFL explained that rule very carefully. Tuck rule= we hate Al Davis and will screw him every chance we get!

Tuck rule really means f-- al davis rule! :p

It may be that the SEC IS down, and bammer has profited from a weak schedule compared to other years. I mean heck, Ole Miss gave them a really good game and ended up 5-7.

It may just be that they lose a playoff game here, because they look better than they are.

I know they stomped USC sr, but that was before USC replaced it's QB.

They use it when when they want too. They can also line up and run you over. They're multiple. Tennessee has charts. They also use it because Hurts is that type of QB. If Coker was there they wouldn't use any zone read concepts at all.

Losing to Bama this year cost us NOTHING....It was losing to SC and Vandy that killed us!!!

You young bloods need to learn to use your brain to think instead of filling it with video games.....:crazy:

I'm only 26 but trust me. I was raised to hate Alabama from a young age. It doesn't help they are winning titles and we are laughable. I pray for alabamas failure every day.
