I read some of their posts. It's amazing how many of them seem to think they played Alabama as well as UT did.

It'll be settled on the field in a week. If we play them like we played today, we'll beat them by 3 touchdowns.

This is personally my favorite quote:

I'd take our coaches over theirs and that will be the difference.

Now that's funny, our staff is the best in the entire country right now.

I think they will respond well. They sounded fairly upbeat for a team who just took a loss like that. They are going to practice tomorrow in hopes of getting the game out of their system as quick as they can. night game + ESPN + Halloween = Vols come out pumped...

I think all this and the fans are going to be jacked, the energy in the stadium will help enormously.

I have a bunch of friends who are SC fans, but SC fans without a doubt tend to suffer from short term memory loss when they start talking smack. It's like arguing with the Black Knight from Monty Python.

So they just barely squeaked out a win against a team that lost to Army, but they will blow out a team that was a blocked field goal away from winning against the Number 1 team in the nation. Makes perfect sense

For the Vols of the past few years, I'd expect an emotional letdown.

But, for this bunch, I'm confident they will play 60 minutes of non-stop football.

Frankly, that's what I like most about this year's squad. In the way they play, you can hear the first few ticks of the heartbeat of future champions at UT.

This team, and the coaches, deserve to have Neyland rocking like it's never rocked before. The coaches ask the players to leave nothing on the field, well, Spurrier is coming to town and the fans need to leave nothing on the field. It's Halloween and the moon and stars are all lined up for one hell of a night. LET'S DO OUR PART!

pretty confident for the game next Saturday. Southcarolina at Tennessee - CockyTalk

Of course they are, there's not a more delusional fan base in the country. This is a program that has never won a championship in football, none, not one, nano, zilch, it's a program that is at 500% in career wins, it's a program that keeps hiring old coaches who were successful at other schools but who can't bring them to a championship level, yet their fans think that every game is a slam dunk for them. It's time we show them some good old Neyland magic.

Speaking of delusional. A 3-4 Tenn team has a "moral victory" and next thing you know they are unstoppable and will win by 21. Let's see..... you had a impressive Georgia victory. and two joke victories against Western Kentucky and a squeaker against Ohio. Take off the orange glasses. The game will be close and whoever whens the turnover battle will win the game.

My personal favorite:

Simply amazing, lol. Guy has 0 football knowledge. SC is a team that beat Vandy by 4 at home. Garcia is Garbage. I expect their tall WRs to give us some probs, even though Julio didnt do much. UT will control the clock and show why we are the 2nd best team in the east.

this...at least to some degree

i see your point on the moral victory. yes, we lost those games, however losses can build confidence too (crompton).

i think we can still lose the turnover battle in this game and win. Cocky doesn't exactly have a stellar offense. It's worse than ours is at this point in the season, and i don't know if they can move the ball on our defense if they come to play.

i can see our team come out pissed off ready for the game and win by a few scores...but most likely i believe we will win by 7 or 10...except for last year, the last few years have been a close game with them

It doesn't even matter who wins this game. After maybe 2 years, South Carolina will always be playing for third in the SEC. And if Georgia gets it together you will always be among Vandy and Kentucky. Holtz couldn't save you. Spurrier has shown he can't even bring you guys back. USCjr has never won an SEC title, and they aren't going to any time soon.

No, do your homework. Truly it looks like in the east- Florida will stay in 1st and both Tenn and SC will begin to catch up. South Carolina is the youngest team in the conference with 17 freshman on their two deep roster. Georgia is the one who seems to be slipping into mediocrity.

USC's program will always be second tier in the SEC. UT, Bama and UF will be the big dogs for years to come. Next year, florida will be way down and UT should win the East with the Kiffins in control!

South Carolina will never catch up. UT will absolutely play with UF. They hang with them this year with far inferior talent. UT will get the talent to match UF, and will definitely play them evenly. South Carolina is so useless it doesn't matter. They won the ACC title 40 years ago and that is the only title they've ever had. South Carolina's program is hopeless. When Spurrier went there, I thought he'd bring them back, but I've realized that he can't. USCjr hasn't shown any major improvement in 5 years.
