I think they will respond well. They sounded fairly upbeat for a team who just took a loss like that. They are going to practice tomorrow in hopes of getting the game out of their system as quick as they can. night game + ESPN + Halloween = Vols come out pumped...
For the Vols of the past few years, I'd expect an emotional letdown.
But, for this bunch, I'm confident they will play 60 minutes of non-stop football.
Frankly, that's what I like most about this year's squad. In the way they play, you can hear the first few ticks of the heartbeat of future champions at UT.
pretty confident for the game next Saturday. Southcarolina at Tennessee - CockyTalk
Of course they are, there's not a more delusional fan base in the country. This is a program that has never won a championship in football, none, not one, nano, zilch, it's a program that is at 500% in career wins, it's a program that keeps hiring old coaches who were successful at other schools but who can't bring them to a championship level, yet their fans think that every game is a slam dunk for them. It's time we show them some good old Neyland magic.
Speaking of delusional. A 3-4 Tenn team has a "moral victory" and next thing you know they are unstoppable and will win by 21. Let's see..... you had a impressive Georgia victory. and two joke victories against Western Kentucky and a squeaker against Ohio. Take off the orange glasses. The game will be close and whoever whens the turnover battle will win the game.
It doesn't even matter who wins this game. After maybe 2 years, South Carolina will always be playing for third in the SEC. And if Georgia gets it together you will always be among Vandy and Kentucky. Holtz couldn't save you. Spurrier has shown he can't even bring you guys back. USCjr has never won an SEC title, and they aren't going to any time soon.Speaking of delusional. A 3-4 Tenn team has a "moral victory" and next thing you know they are unstoppable and will win by 21.
