Legalizing weed doesn’t hurt my feelings a bit, but to suggest states not legalizing it are “backwards” is silly. The numbers show it doesn’t really positively or negatively impact anything for the most part. It’s still just people “getting high”. Nothing more, nothing less. For one thing, the recreational use of cannabis has recently been legalized or decriminalized in the less backward states.
There have been a number of studies that show accidents and fatalities both increased in states that relaxed laws on pot use compared to surrounding states that did not change laws. My experience having these debates on pot use = folks who are pro legalizing do not care about any studies that do not support their already held views. Every study that does not support either side of the debate will be dismissed as flawed, funded by some corrupt group . conclusion= it's impossible to have an honest debate on pot use because folks have already made up their minds and there ain't no changing them.I wonder if there is a correlation between states that have legalized/decriminalized cannabis and traffic accidents due to DUI. Hummmm.....
Forget DUIs. Yes, smoking anything is not smart. Now studies are saying more widespread MJ usage will likely lead to more younger age dementia cases.Forget DUIs. Lung cancer.
Smoking/vaping is the stupidest way to deliver a drug and proven to lead to numerous lung issues which are expensive to society as a whole.
THC is a relatively meh drug and like a lot of drugs has some good uses and some entertaining side effects. As a brownie, gummie, etc it's shrug drug for me.
It's unfortunate that it's culturally linked to smoking which is just a dumb thing to do.
As legality increases (read: funding money for favorable studies like other drugs) I'm sure we'll see studies showing more benefits and hopefully honestly showing the risks. It's not a drug I would recommend but it's not "Reefer Madness" bad, IMO.Yes, smoking anything is not smart. It’s not usually the “goal oriented” crowds that gather at these head shops. A bunch of basement dwellers in Jammie’s and toboggans to glazed to see one another. Yes, I know there are exceptions for medical reasons, etc.
