Bullshat. The spending/tax bills and reconciliation packages in 2025 were all drafted by Congressional proxies of the Trump admin and passed with minimal amendments...

This isnt a rebuke of the bills but just pointing out the 2025 spending/tax/reconciliation bills had Trump's fingerprints all of them...

Trump was not happy with some of the things, including pork spending, in the OBBB but signed it anyway because it contained many promises he made while campaigning.

because the leftist media has been claiming since Trump laid off so many federal workers, the SSA was not running very efficiently...

GROK --left-leaning critics (including Democrats like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and various progressive commentators) have claimed that the Social Security Administration (SSA) is not running (or operating) efficiently since the major layoffs and cuts pushed by the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative.

For example:

• Schumer publicly stated the goal was to "destroy Social Security from within" by making it inefficient through understaffing, leaving seniors without timely help on checks and claims.
• Broader left critiques tie this to DOGE-led firings (including probationary employees in waves like the "Valentine’s Day Massacre"), arguing it harms essential services rather than just cutting "bureaucracy."

His proxy in Congress filed the spending/tax bill + reconciliation the Trump admin gave him and that was what was 99.9% approved. Some revisionist history here...

The huge DoD spending bump was Trump. It was much more than even all the Senators who are owned by the MIC was asking for.

Again, Trump is POTUS and this is what people voted for.

MAGA did not win Congress, Republican did and they (Massie 2 times today) stab Trump in the back as much as Democrats. Get rid of Congress and let Trump run the gov't ny himself and I am sure he would get all the spending and debt under control. The way Congress is set up now there will never be balanced budget. Trump has to accept bills as passed, the bill may have many things in it Trump like but things in he does not like. He can veto these bill and nothing will ever get done. He has to sign the bill to get the things he wants done. Democrats are not the solution to any of this for they are the very one causing all the problems along with the RINO friends.

The Trump who said he doesn't believe in budgets would get spending under control?

Trump doesn't have to sign anything. He chooses to sign because he doesn't care about spending. COVID should have proved that to the world

Ok. That's cool. Can't believe a Trumper would have such thin skin about what some media outlets are reporting. It's not like Trump is thinned skin or hypersensitive

Trump ran for POTUS, made promises, won, and had a mandate. The spending, tax, and reconciliation bills were the legislative vehicle for the promises. This vehicle was drafted by his admin and filed by his proxies in House and Senate and passed pretty close to verbatim.

You cant give him credit for keeping those promises while completely absolving him from additional debt for keeping those promises...
