So if I get caught browsing VN during class, just to stay awake during a boring lecture, what do I do? :dunno:

Oh yeah, that's genius... leave my laptop and all? :p

Maybe if I were a student at UF or Wahlabama, that might make sense... or if I were browsing rolltide.com during class here at UT.

I think instead, I'll just tell him he's boring me to death. :wacko:

Tell him your're using Osmosis and it's all just sinking into your brain so you really don't have to listen. Now give me back my remote.

Better yet , help him set up an account and get him a cool avatar and make him one of us....must
assimilate ...resisitance is futile.

It was plugged into the wall, and all you said to do was "run". I'd have to pick up my laptop, unplug my power cord, throw them in my backpack, THEN run. :p

The problem isn't "run", it's that you assumed he meant "out".

Hit cntl-alt-del, then run into the nearest corner, climb on a desk, and hiss, "You think you've won, but I just emailed Agent Mulder Every..Single..Word..You..Said!!!."

Then, in that first stunned moment, you immediately get off the desk, whistling falsely and pretending to look at nothing in particular while sidling over to your computer, unplugging it from the wall, and putting the cords and laptop in your back-back.

As soon as that's done, you scream, "HA!!! Let's just see what the school nurse has to say about THIS!!!!" and bolt from the room.

Next day, you come to class as if nothing happened, and when the professor asks- and they'll just have to- tell them that you're taking an online-course in Abnormal Psychology for extra credit, it was all a class project, and you're really sorry you couldn't have warned them in advance but that would've tainted the experiment.

I'm pretty sure the teacher won't even remotely remember catching you surfing VN at that point, but if they do, invite them to visit our site, and then defy them to come up with a better place for a student of Abnormal Psych to spend their time.....
