everyone can get mad. This version of the team is easily the best out there and they play enough D to avoid letdown games against sorry outfits like Argentina.

Manu can suck it.

Argentina is trying to make a little run.

ya in college over the 5 yrs i was there, i played w/ 2 foreigners. they were both dirty players, and then other schools had them. usually very good shooters, and very dirty defenders. my first 2 yrs i backed up a foreigner and during practice, i bet we wld get in a fight at least once prolly twice a wk.

we had no foreigners because we couldn't, but we played several of the teams in exhibitions.

I'm actually glad they were dirty, because it gave me an excuse to do the things I was best at.

from experience, the foreigners play extremely dirty.
It seems to be that way in many sports... if you saw the second half of USA vs. Guatemala in World Cup qualifying eariler this week (soccer) you know what I mean. I'm surprised they didn't get shanks out and start stabbing players.

LOL Troof.

Great win for Team USA. IMO, the only way they were going to redeem themselves was by destroying everybody, which has happened so far. Coach K is the man.

argentina made a run before the half, and a small run in the second but couldn't ever get it back to single digits

I didn't like how the US was playing in the warm up games and the first two games of pool play, but they've all gotten used to their roles and there's a lot more transition and offensive rebounding going on.

That's compared to the drive, jump, kick, shoot a three offense we employed those first few games.

Not only is Coach K good a facilitating and deferring to his players, he and Colangelo picked a bunch of guys opposite of Marbury and Iverson. Not to mention the fact that Larry Brown's ego probably didn't let him give the players room to play within themselves.

It looks like coach K has managed to get the guys to check egos at the door, and play together. They even seem to genuinely like each other, and be proud to be representing the red, white, and blue. Amazing turnaround from what we had previously. Average margin of 23 points... nice!

Chris Paul and Deron Williams should apply for a change of citizenship. They're doing all they can to win Spain a gold medal.

Gee, you think Portland fans like the idea of adding Rudy Fernandez and Greg Oden to their young nucleus next year?

For anyone who thinks the Spanish national team couldn't make the NBA Playoffs, I guarantee there are at least 2 GMs who would trade their roster for Spain's.
