All kinds of issues to discuss, but the biggest problem is a lack of toughness throughout the team, which allowed the lines to get bullied and not have the mental fire to respond when punched in the mouth. Vandy had a swagger and a bravado to them, then continually showed an aggressiveness which we failed to match on an even remotely comparable level. The defense gives up a few extra yards after contact nearly every play, the OL regularly fails to get a push, and the coaching staff lacks the ability to motivate and make halftime adjustments.

I don't know if we need new coaches or new strength and conditioning strategies, but the lack of toughness is a killer in this sport. Teams generally reflect their coach and, if he can't set a light under the asses of his players, he's not got much longer in this league. He will get eaten alive without some dogs on the line.

Well Vols got a ridiculous 15 yard roughing penalty for hitting Pavia as he threw. Dont believe the team is soft but lacks experience and can improve dramatically in the weight room.

Team is young and will step up a notch in 2026. Need kicker and defensive linemen via portal.

Need some intensity and discipline.
Defense was always the weak link in this team even before the injuries made it worse.
I think Banks should be gone and either promote Garner or go get somebody who is proven to be disciplined and aggressive, because I think you get that type of player.
I’m not at all satisfied with 8-4, but it wasn’t too long ago everybody in this fan base would have taken that record over what we had.
I believe NIL and the portal are killing the college game, but I also believe we can take advantage of both.
Vanderbilt caught lightning in a bottle this year. They lose a LOT- oldest team in the SEC. They haven’t beaten the Vols since 2018 until tonight.
Pavia will be humbled soon enough. I just hate it wasn’t the Vols who will get the honor.
Heupel needs to find his balls.
Be THE coach- not everybody’s pal. Cliches and clever sayings don’t work much here without the results to back them up.
I will support the Vols regardless in the bowl game. Hopefully, the players and coaches will have some PRIDE and let’s get that 9th win.
Go Vols!!

Players continually getting injured points toward a weakness in the strength and conditioning area.

The dawgs all left last year. You’ll find no Eric Berry’s, Al Wilson’s, or Jeremy Banks’ here. I think maybe Heupel is too easy on these kids.
Dang...............that is a tuff list.................when was the last time we had an Al Wilson. Mr. Wilson won the National Championship. Period.

Perlotte looks like he might be a dog. I thought Farooq was a possibility, he has been a major disappointment this year.

It was close, but you can't give the Refs a reason to throw it. If it had happened to Aguilar and wasn't called, our fans would lose their $hit.

We have a talented young kicker. His field go percentage is excellent. He missed the big kick against UIGA. He has been good otherwise.

Teams reflects the coach/staff. Fundamental truth in this game.

I'm not sure if our OL was weak, or that defenses are picking up on some of our playcalls. Some of the plays, defense are timing the snap perfectly and reading the run call from the start.

I asked my brother in law if the Vols had a MASH unit set up in the locker room. Every few plays someone was down. It’s been like this all year
