The Team is Soft, Mentally and Physically

JMO, CJH is a "player's coach" how often do you see team's, assistant coaches and players alike, have the type of edge they can and should have when the head coach is a player's coach?

I'm not sure if our OL was weak, or that defenses are picking up on some of our playcalls. Some of the plays, defense are timing the snap perfectly and reading the run call from the start.
Vandy jumped the run several times tonight. It's just to repetitive and predictable when they're doing it and where they're going with it. You would have to execute it perfectly to have success.

Yes, we definitely need to self scout that and change our approach. At least try to fake it every now and then and see if the defense jumps offside.

All kinds of issues to discuss, but the biggest problem is a lack of toughness throughout the team, which allowed the lines to get bullied and not have the mental fire to respond when punched in the mouth. Vandy had a swagger and a bravado to them, then continually showed an aggressiveness which we failed to match on an even remotely comparable level. The defense gives up a few extra yards after contact nearly every play, the OL regularly fails to get a push, and the coaching staff lacks the ability to motivate and make halftime adjustments.

I don't know if we need new coaches or new strength and conditioning strategies, but the lack of toughness is a killer in this sport. Teams generally reflect their coach and, if he can't set a light under the asses of his players, he's not got much longer in this league. He will get eaten alive without some dogs on the line.
And the sheep fan base will buy tickets to the bowl game and buy more season tickets and lap up the milk from their bowl. F that ****. They can have the fireworks and light show and all that BS.

You have to have more of a threat at QB to run. No one cared whether Aguilar took off or not. They'd just live with it. He just wasn't much of a threat to run. They didn't respect it. Heupel has to have more of a runner at that position with the way he calls runs. You got to pull that ball every now and then and run it outside to get them at least thinking about it some. They just didn't do and maybe it was to keep Aguilar healthy. You need that element in this offense.
