1. Great game if you were a neutral observer. Back and forth all night long.
2. Tennessee just can't close games. Too many loose possessions down the stretch in a tight game.
3. Now that they have all their players, USC is pretty good. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they finish 2nd in the PAC 10.
4. The Alex Stepheson-Brian Williams war was fun to see from floor level. They beat each other up big time.
5. Cam Tatum nearly saved the day. He kept UT from getting blown out.
6. Tobias Harris is slowly progressing into the go to role. He'll be there soon.
7. Scotty Hopson is the same as he ever was. It's a constant rollercoaster ride.
8. Again, Tennessee called an end game timeout. Again, they didn't get a good shot.
9. Maurice Jones is fearless. He's going to haunt the PAC 10 for four years.
10. Thursday night is now a huge game. Four losses in a row would signal a freefall.

Let me ask the most important question . . . Hat, why were you at the other end of the court in Section 107?

The decision to call a timeout with 3 seconds left, as opposed to 9 seconds when we rebounded at the other end left me scratching my head bald.

Hat, I tend to look at these games in generalities because I really don't know X's and O's, which I know you do very well. Can you say in a few words what has happened to this team? It defies belief almost how this is the same group we were watching a couple weeks ago. Is it more players or coaching? Has the defensive pressure gone south? Are teams just more adjusted and ready for us now? Is Hopson's slow-down a big part of it? What's the first thing you'd point to?!!

Pearl didn't want to call a timeout. When Tatum had no where to go, Tatum himself called it.

I'm to the point where I just want to see someone else at the top for this team. Bruce has shown he can't handle being at the top of the food chain. I've been an avid supporter, but the signs are all too clear at this point. Let's get someone good while the shelf is stocked.

I agree. Mostly because I believe the NCAA investigation is a distraction right now. Also, Pearl can't seem to recruit the top guys that we are paying him to get. Because we sure as hell aren't paying him to draw up halfcourt plays with 3 seconds on the clock.

I second this.
