13.5 Spartan Beast in 3:56:15. Placed 530/2311

That was the hardest race I've ever done.

so I failed at getting a run in after work, but I'm convinced it was worth it. Coach K brought Duke down for a practice here and to get a glimpse of a soldier lifestyle haha. I had to work all through lunch to begin with, so when I finally got my lunch at 1:30, I decided to go the practice. Had lots to do by the time I got back so I didn't get out until after 6:30. But I talked to most the players, K himself, Chris Collins and Wojo. I love running, but I can sacrifice one run for that opportunity right?

I think thats a great reason to sacrifice a run. Pretty cool you got to talk to Coach K himself.

bought some CEP compression sleeves. I'll try them this weekend at the Army 10-miler.

Also got "fitted" at Fleet Feet for running shoes. Ended up buying a pair they suggested. We'll see if they end up feeling better.

Nike Zoom Structure 16+ is the shoe they suggested

I've never felt the need for the compression socks. Even in my halves I've run, my legs and feet hold up just fine. What are their advantages?
