The Runner's thread

Finished all my moving yesterday. Going to start back running this afternoon. I am so ready. Probably going to be a very slow three miles.

Finally got to run yesterday afternoon after a week and half off. I only ran two miles but it felt great. Hopefully the weather will be nice tonight and I can run again.

.9 miles yesterday with not as much pain afterwards. Going for my 3rd round laser treatments this morning.

Hard to tell for sure so far but I think so. I've just been hung at that 85-90% range since April. Figured it couldn't hurt(other than in my wallet).

Nope. Dr is giving me a little break though. Should be 120 per session to do both feet. Only charging 60.

what is the treatment for? I feel like I missed something major here

I had a bad case of plantar fasciitis in both feet(my fault for letting it drag on for over 1.5years without seeking treatment) and had surgery last Oct/Nov. Recovery got back to 85-90% but haven't been able to run like I want to. The laser treatments generate new skin cells that reduce pain and inflamation and promote quicker healing. My dr thought it might be good for me to try.

Two more miles last night. Getting back into the swing of things. I am running in my in-laws neighborhood that has lots of hills in it. With the weather being exteremly hot and all the hills it's made my runs hard, but well worth the pain and suffering.

This weeks schedule has been

Monday- am weight, pm 7 miles
Tuesday-pm 13.1 miles
Wednesday-am weight, pm 8 miles
Thursday- am rest, plan on hill training tonight

Hope the rain stays away today or atleast is gone by seven tonight. I want to try and get a good run in before the weekend.

Took last week off and this week has been pretty inconsistent thus far. The highlight was 8 miles on Thursday but my other 3 runs have been no longer than 4 miles. Everyday I either feel very lethargic or I wait to late in the morning and it's too hot/humid. Gotta get back into a routine.

Only two more weeks of base training then I'm gonna add some speed work but right now, I am nowhere near as fit as I had planned on being.
