i'm getting geared up for a marathon...but running an ultra has been on my mind. I'm just not sure I can commit the time for the training. Are you thinking 50 or 100?

Going to attempt a 50k. Only four miles longer than a marathon. Should be doable. If that goes well than I will try a 40 miler.

No crossfit class today, so I went out and ran 4 miles. Time = 40 minutes. Not my best time at all, but at least I got out and did something.

Tried on a pair if Newtons last week. Going to be my next pair of running shoes.

Never heard of them. My Asics cumulous' are are awesome on shake rock and hard pack trails, but they feel very bulky on pavement.

It has a flat sole and forces you to land on your forefoot and roll forward. Closest shoe I've found to my vibram five finger.

I use the imapmyrun+ app. I didn't like my coach.

I've used it for three runs so far and I don't have any complaints. I'm just using it log my runs, though. Don't care too much for the actual coaching. Have it set to just notify me every quarter I run.

What didn't you like about it and what do you like about imapmyrun?
