Depends on what shape youre in now but I'd allow about 4 months.

Last year I bench press & squat to keep muscle. worked well till I got carried away and put on to much muscle. Gotta keep it scaled back this year.
 
I went out to mail box today, it started raining, so I ran to get back in the house to avoid getting wet, does this count?
