The Righteous Gemstones HBO

All I need is an 8 ball and 2 million dollars.

Uncle Baby Billy stole the season once again. I felt like this season overall wasn't quite up to par as the previous 3 but reading between the lines, it seems like they probably planned on ending it after last season (it was pretty much a perfect ending point) and got offered a boat load of HBO money to go again.

Still had plenty of funny ass moments.

*The first episode was a complete surprise to me. Thought it was great.
*The young actor that plays young Jesse does his voice and inflection so well it's insane. I'd watch a spinoff with them as kids.
*I think I got the biggest laugh from Keef dressing up like Aimee Lee and "haunting" Eli. Holy ****.
*Shout out to Dr. Watson

The ending (last 2 eps) were a little goofy plot wise (the ending of season 3 felt more solid) but overall I still enjoyed the season and I'm glad it's ending before money turns it into another never ending, directionless, once great show.

I thought the scene where
Corey was hunting them down in the house to Red Red Wine was great. For a minute I thought they were going to all be killed but I'm glad they didn't go that route. Judy crawling in and her "**** that noise" and "we ain't doing no steps homie we leaking" we're all time classic Judy lines.

Fun fact about Dr. Watson that I learned from watching a couple cast interviews…they used two different monkeys to play him, but one of them is 30+ years old and is the same monkey who played Marcel on Friends, and was also the Angels Rally Monkey back in the early 2000’s.

Felt like Baby Billy got kinda shoved aside in the final episode and I wanted more of an impact with the gold bible the way it was played up.

All in all, just more McBride genuis.
