I know Hubbs had an off game with only 6 points and 3 rbs but even in a game like that he just handles himself so differently from last year. I thought he was assertive, for the most part, and did not "disappear". He just simply didn't make some of the shots he normally does. Also, he doesn't fear bringing the ball up the floor against pressure. His previous 3 years he would have picked the ball up and panicked until someone came and got it from him.
The good news is that we won despite Hubbs not having a great game. That should build confidence as a team.
Bear in mind too... Did all of this without Fulkerson. We haven't been completely healthy since the first game of the season. When we have everyone were a dangerous and a good solid team. This injury to Fulk however has helped Alexander grow though, and this will only help for our future.
The bad:
Gave up half of a 20 point lead diwn the stretch.
Parker and Bone only had one assist each.
Shooting.
Fouling.
Upsets a SEC team on the road and the team and coaches earn a post pointing out the few bad plays rather than recognizing how well the team played. This team has 7 freshmen including one redshirting . I think ir was a very good demenstration of great coaching and very good play by the youngest team in the SEC, if not the Nation.
With how they're playing now, I hope that loss isn't the one that bites them in the end. I'm not holding my breath for an NCAA appearance, but if they somehow make a run, that one could hurt.
I've thought about that a few times actually, as nice as winning as UNC or one of those in Maui would've been, holding serve at home and beating UTC would've been better resume wise. With that said, we need UTC to be as good as possible, makes that L look much better.
Very true. But they are currently 1-3 against teams with an RPI better than 100, with only 1 left (ETSU), according to RPI forecast. One slip up really screws us over.
Correction: 2 left, both ETSU.
#8 I though Bone showed some of good moves last night - it's just that his body is not responding 100% yet. His shot stroke is a little short, and his legs a little slow. If not for the latter, he breaks the trap and beats the buzzer to end the half. Look for much improvement later in the season if he stays healthy. JMO.

We've got a basketball coach. Very fun to watch, not drama, they just play their butt off. Probably won't see it in the win/loss column this year, but just give him a couple of years and we will have a solid basketball team!
