JG has arrived as the QB he finally is beating the rush with the outlet pass and is not holding the ball like he did earlier in the season. I have more confidence in him now than since he has been here. We still need the OL to give him a little more help and hope we can get a better running game going. I like where he is right now think we could win three of this last four and maybe all four.

Why doesn't JG get them set up so he doesn't have to continue taking a beating 4 quarters every single game? Last guy I saw that truly could do that was Aaron Murray at UGA. I hated that guy, but dude won.

Uh throwing dump passes is not arriving. What you saw was an OC trying to call a game with a QB that has great limitations. He can't throw down field so we are stuck with horizontal throws and hope the receivers can get the yards.

I get your point but poorly argued. Lyle Jones made millions and it is a safe bet to say he wasn't qualified.

JG has a few flaws but he is not at the top of our worry list imo. Our oline, and our defense as a whole worries me more. Oline struggles at everything, but is improving. Defense struggles to play good man coverage against offenses that have decent recs, and QBs that can move a little and have decent arms ( which puts rpo's into play, which is this defense's kryptonite. All defense's struggle with RPO'S, but we turn into a fetal position defense when an offense unleashes them on us ) . On top of that we struggle some to pressure the QB.

If chryst is better, coaches need to put him in asap because this team needs its best QB to have any chance at 6 wins. I haven't seen enough of chryst to decide for myself if he is better.

Fellas, I am learning all I can about rpo's. My favorite pro team is the broncos, and I know they have a legit top 5 defense. I have seen the chiefs twice this year and the eagles once last year destroy a very very good broncos defense with RPO based offense.

It worries me because I don't know if Pruitt will ever get the talent here to contain an RPO offense ( bama for example is an RPO offense imo ). When I see Denver ( a very talented defense ) struggle to contain it, that worries me. When I see the Patriots have to score 43 to beat the chiefs rpo offense, it worries me. I'm afraid our offense is gonna have to get real good real quick because it looks like to me rpo based offense is beginning to take over football.

Maybe Pruitt and helton need to seriously think about installing an RPO based offense next year so we can start scoring enough points to get wins.

Remember, the eagles just won a super bowl with an rpo based offense. They outscored the Patriots ( the best traditional style offense with one of the best ever at QB ) with it to win the super bowl.

IDK...maybe hopefully def coordinators will figure out how to shut rpo's down. Rpo's are the number 1 thing on my radar right now. I've seen the damage they can do

I thought Coach Helton had a good game plan with the short passes to help with the troubles of the offensive line. (Even though I hate that quick throw to the outside) You can have a great completion % all you want if your not moving the ball down field it's just good for your stats. I give JG credit for hanging in there but again a lot of his hits are because he holds the ball to long. I always thought he was suppose to be an RPO quarterback but he clearly won't run the ball unless he has to. I just don't understand why we won't al least try Keller for at least 1 half with the first team to see how it works. Here's a graduate transfer with playing time experience and from what I've seen gets rid of the ball quick and makes clear decisions. I can't believe the guy doesn't have good practice habits and they won't give me some good playing time. Let JG try to learn a little more he's only a sophmore but I believe CP will be looking to get another quarterback anyway.
Now the defense....totally different subject..

Sure, I'll compare the two numbers. Hell KC had more in 2 pass plays last week than JG had in all of his completions when you take distance for LOS to Point of catch. You don't even want to come close to arguing that one.

Bull****. If we can't throw the ball more than 10 yards down the field, KY and Candy will eat us alive. That exhibition of screen passes on Saturday night was pathetic.

All of KC'spasses were the same short ones JG threw. He was 9/15 and 4/8 for 45 yards in the second half.

We had two great blocking efforts and runs after the catch vs Bama.

They were short passes.

JG is a better deep passer and it isn't even a question.

His 29/37 with several drops compared to 9/15 down 28 plus shows JG is a better short passer too.

He threw downfield pretty darn well against auburn. Perhaps losing trey smith our highest rated player from the front line protected him changed his timing just a touch

KC's longest in the bama game was 40 yds, double JG's this game. 11 YPA vs less than 6 for JG against SC. Your agenda and lies are exposed once again.

JG is a terrible down field passer and there is way to not see that. Every deep ball he throws the receiver is stopping to catch because he does not have the arm or talent to make the PROPER throw. Chryst's throw to JJ and Byrd were perfect in stride throws. Something we have not seen from JG.

they'll never admit it, but i agree. i really think it does! i mean its the same exact thing. dormady and worley were always better than dobbs just like dormady and chryst will always be better than JG in the eyes of certain individuals.....no matter what they do well

an admin deleted it when i said it, but its def real. im glad imnot the only one who sees it
