The Problem of Whiteness

Dream is the best center to ever play the game IMO. aside from averaging 25 or more every season, he led the league in blocked shots just about every season. Opposing players didn't even attempt to drive the lane when he was in there, best defensive center I ever saw. He was better than the admiral every year...and that's no small order. Africans can't ball though...lol.

Oh, and unlike the 100 meter dash...which blacks dominate...basketball is a finesse sport that requireS a great deal of skill that must be honed through practice. It's not a measure of speed or strength...stupid example to use. Try slolam skiing or bobsled next.lmao

I have to put Kareem and Wilt above him for sure. Maybe Russell and possibly Shaq.

You are probably correct on the top centers, but nothing ever stopped Bill Walton but injuries. When he was healthy, he was as dominant as any.

Willis Reed had his time, as did Patrick Ewing, Moses Malone, and George Mikan. You can't really compare eras because the game and the athleticism changes.

Center is a tough position to pick. So many different ways the position has been played and so many guys have had their careers cut short. I think sheer size prematurely derails a lot of potential greatness at this position. Ming comes to mind.

Agreed...there are many, and they are very different. Dream was an incredible shot blocker, which is what set him apart for me. Some guys, like Laettner and Novitzki, played center in college but were power forwards most of the time in the NBA. Dirk is an incredible shooter...he just became 5th all time scorer at any position. Centers that can shoot the 3 are crazy

The thing that always stood out about Wilt to me was that he led the league in scoring, scoring % and rebounds in most of the years he played. However, in 1968 someone challenged him to lead the league in assists which he did. For his career, he averaged 30 pts, 23 rebounds, 4.4 assists in an era in which blocks were not counted. However, the actual known blocks of Wilt are documented in 112 games. His BPG - 8.8.

When I was at TSU I had a lab partner from Africa. He was very well spoken and asked me several times why black people in the US acted the way they do. It blew my mind. I used to crack up on how he talked and his choice of words. He was almost a dead ringer for Eddie Murphy in Coming To America.

Haha I worked with a guy from Kenya and we had a work training in midtown Atlanta. We went to dinner and I went home afterwards while he went with the others to go drinking. The next morning I asked how last night went, he said it was fun until the walk back to the hotel. I guess he got harassed for money by some homeless guys. What was funny is that he said he was bothered by black people, and he kind of whispered black. It just made me laugh. He and another guy from Kenya made it pretty clear they didn't have much in common with "black" people in America.

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas, to black AND white people. Everybody else too.

Christmas is just a social construct created by white supremacists to trick minorities into buying gifts to support white businesses and the white power structure

Fortunately, I got to see several of his battles with Bill Russell on tv many years ago. Epic!

I am jealous.
My memory of them is from around 1960 to a few years later. I remember that I was mostly in Junior High and High School. I remember Wilt, Tom Gola, Paul Arizen, and Al Attles from the Philadelphia Warriors.

I was a Celtics and Red Sox fan ( still am a Red Sox fan). It seems that Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, Bill Sharman, Tommy Heinsohn, and the Jones boys (K.C. and Sam) were the main players for them . One of the Jones was the 6th man. Later, Heinsohn retired, and John Havlicek took his spot. At least, that is how I remember it.

NBA is terrible. To me, it's like baseball now...only watch the postseason. Then only some of it.

I haven't watched much NFL this year either. That is primarily because my home team (panthers) are having such a hard time this year.

Thankfully, we have 1 more Vols game before I turn the TV off until the fall of 17...

Europeans don't claim American Whites either. Some American Blacks look down on Africans. White Americans look down on Europeans. Europeans look down on White Americans. None of you are making a valid point bringing up Africans.

White Europeans deep down want to be white Americans.

This just shows your ignorance. White Americans and white Europeans are close and are interested in each others experiences, heritage and traditions of old and new.

Your ignorance is outstanding and shows you know little of White culture.

One of the biggest problems of Whiteness are those after Xmas sales special brawls that break out in malls across America................................

My grandpa would tell me about Krampus when I was a kid. I thought I'd get snatched up or beaten with branches if I was bad. He came straight out of Germany so all of his stories ended with someone dying or sad lol

Dutch/German cautionary tales for children are so demented and awesome.
