You can make all the excuses you want to attempt to minimize the severity of Pearl's actions, but this is a situation where Pearl has earned every bit of the punishment he has already received and still has coming.

Don't you know it. He deserves a lifetime show cause for his actions. How dare he try and hoodwink the righteous and pure NCAA? What have they ever done wrong? When you think of "amateur" athletics, you think NCAA. When you think of virgins, you think NCAA. It warms my heart every year to see what they do to keep the games pure and honest.

What that bastard Pearl has done has set the game of basketball back for decades. Never in the history of the game will a burger, weiner or pig be sacrificed because of what he did. I hope there is a special place in hell for him. Then Jim Tressel can sit high above in heaven along with Cecil Newton and Terrelle Pryor and poke fun and make jokes about him. Just like the Volnation Pearl haters/ball smashers.

This is all pretty simple. Nobody gives a damn that Bruce Pearl had some guys over for a burger. The problem started when he and the rest of the staff orchestrated a poorly designed plan to sweep everything under the rug. Too bad Craft's dad couldn't have taped Bruce's phone call. That would have been sweet karma. Also, how does do the Pryor's, Newton's and Tressel's actions have anything to with Pearl? They are lying trash just like Bruce.

No, you are mistaken. The haters have professed that what Pearl has done is the worst thing to happen to college basketball in the entire history of the sport. Yep, he's just ol' lying trash like Tressel, Pryor and Newton. Except those other three got to keep on coaching/playing without punishment even when enormous amounts of money was being exchanged and the NCAA looked the other way. Meanwhile, hot dogs and hamburgers were exchanged in the Pearl saga and what he has done has set the game back for decades.

No, there is an outright SEC title banner that got hung for the first time since hippies were all the rage. However, the charm of a 1/4 filled TBA that sounded like a funeral parlor before Pearl arrived will be much more appealing to the students and fans alike than a raucous sold out TBA during the Pearl era.

Yep, from here on out, everything and anything bad that happens to UT is because of what Pearl did. That lying, ungrateful bastard.

Under what scenario could Pearl have stayed at Tennessee and made everything work out? I know that recruits would just love to come play for a man that is setting out for a few years. The NCAA would have hammered the school so bad that Indiana's squad from a few years ago would be laughing. Don't think that opposing coaches wouldnt bring up Pearl's tactics when recruiting against him.

Pearlophiles just can't seem to grasp the concept of what Pearl has done to this program. I supported Pearl while he was our coach, but good God some people still think that man was God. Yes he put us on the map like we've never been before and won "more" than any other coach. But you can't look over the fact that all the possible sanctions the university is facing is all because of Pearl himself. It's pretty simple, he lied, got caught, lied again, and got himself, his staff, and the university all screwed in the process.

Just what is a Pearlophile? Is it similar to a Pearl hater? A Pearl hater has no problem pointing out the faults and fallacies of a coach while hiding their thin hide behind a computer. What is more pathetic? Pearl telling a stupid lie or someone acting like a bad ass and trashing another man over and over and over and over and over and over again because he is in the public eye and had the audacity to ruin his viewing entertainment?

Here's a clue: every damn coach doesn't give a damn about the university where they are employed. You might think they do, but in reality they don't. The only thing they care about is #1. Some of you were just late to the party to figure out that Pearl was just like all the rest (and if you think everyone else doesn't lie, cheat and steal then, well, LMAO). If you think a coach really gives two sh*ts about where they are employed then you are even more gullible then I thought.
