I don't personally agree. I think it is much more nuanced then that. If alcohol controls your life or replaces God in your life, then yes I agree. Ive known plenty of good church going christians that enjoy an evening cocktail. I've seen Catholic priests having wine over dinner and even apostles of the old Testament drank wine. It's all about moderation. Having said that abstaining is a personal choice and I respect that. My parents don't drink at all.I have studied what the bible says about the subject and come to the conclusion that drinking alcohol is indeed a sinful practice.
