Are you saying that your denomination does not preach that women are subservient or are you deflecting to avoid my comment?
ask him for a link to his church showing him as the preacher -- everyone on here has posted thier picture at one time but not him

So that justifies you thinking the bible isn't reliable and you don't have to go to church how? I must be missing something *hear(just for you Behr)?
Also I said fallible. There’s three Red Seas worth of difference between fallible and unreliable. Your inability to grasp definitions of words frightens me that you could’ve ever gotten an undergrad degree, much less get through seminary with passing grades

Romans 14:14-17

14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

I have studied what the bible says about the subject and come to the conclusion that drinking alcohol is indeed a sinful practice.
I don't personally agree. I think it is much more nuanced then that. If alcohol controls your life or replaces God in your life, then yes I agree. Ive known plenty of good church going christians that enjoy an evening cocktail. I've seen Catholic priests having wine over dinner and even apostles of the old Testament drank wine. It's all about moderation. Having said that abstaining is a personal choice and I respect that. My parents don't drink at all.

I can’t believe I am going to say this about one of your posts.

Well said.

Am I supposed to receive blessings from a church where I am not considered smart enough to lead or manage the financial dealings of the church?
Don't think it has anything to do with not being smart enough. I believe it had to do with the whole garden thing in Genesis.
