Jesus speaking to to a lost religious people here. Lost people are not God's children according to this passage of scripture.

John 8:42¶Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me

His creation yes, his children, no.

Jesus said that you must be born again to see heaven in John chapter 3. Not my words, his. Argue it all you please, but that's what the bible says.
Thus we must conclude that everyone doesn't get to go to heaven when they die, only saved people.

I don't care for BigO's delivery, but I agree overall with his and Coastypop's understanding of what's being "discussed " lol, here.

Do whatever you want but I suggest anyone wanting the truth about anything Biblical, do some research and find the translation of the Bible you feel most comfortable with. Commit to it, genuinely pray and ask God to help you understand it the way he wants you to and read it and study it, then form your own beliefs and understanding and don't rely on something that I believe is "The" most important thing in life, on some anonymous people on the internet. In my opinion that's dumb.

I'm gonna go on about my day now, but contrary to popular belief, I don't have sex with goats.

And in addition you find a way to share your beliefs without being a condescending arrogant **** about it.
And no I don’t think all Baptist have sex with goats. But this is the zone and there is a prominent preacher from chattanooga who got caught with goat porn on his computer. So not all Baptist do it but at least of of you is a confirmed goat partaker.

Here’s a challenge for the challenged Baptist.
If G-d is the same yesterday today and Forever and his law is established in heaven and does not change as scripture claims, then show me the passages about hell and eternal torture from the Old Testament.
Part 2. Quote any teaching that Paul, James, John, Peter or Messiah ever taught and I’ll show you it’s origin in Torah.

When you cross that bridge the truth will be revealing.

Lol, yeah I try not to be a condescending whatever in threads on this subject that's why I've stayed away for the most part, you should try it. You know the only reason you and have been able to talk reasonably about any of this is because I let your condescension slide off my back. If I didn't, we wouldn't be able to talk at all and that's reason why I probably won't be discussing anything Biblical with you anymore.

Another reason, is by explaining my beliefs I'd have to get into some explanations that some people won't like as we saw last night, but I believe that's point.

Anyway, I've said more than I had planned on. I actually just felt dishonest for some reason by not saying something and letting BigO and Coasty take all the heat for something I believe as well.

Proverbs 15:24 KJV — The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
Isaiah 5:14 KJV — Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
Isaiah 14:9 KJV — Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

The new testament reveals more about the subject...

You’d never take any heat from me for what you believe because you’re humble in your approach to it. They took heat for their arrogance, not their beliefs
You never would have come at anyone with the “you’re calling Jesus a liar…” or “you can be wrong if you want…” bull ****. I get that it’s tough to challenge your beliefs and if you’re not comfortable doing it with me then that’s fine. I can respect that. I don’t engage in these conversations for anyone’s benefit but my own. I’m willing to hear a new point of view and change my opinions. It doesn’t happen often as I’ve been at this a long time.
A guy in this thread once made a comment about scripture consistency that I’d never heard. I got excited and thought I was going to learn something new from it. Turns out he was fos and making things up to defend his dogma.

Sheol is not hell, Even if the pedifiles who sponsor the KJV render it that way.

So, you know more than the KJV translators do you? Again it is speaking of hell. Why don't you explain what it is if it's not speaking of hell then?

Sheol vs Hell

The grave was the resting place of the body from which the spirit had departed, while Sheol was the resting place of departed spirits, or personalities. Usually Sheol was thought of 'as being deep down in the earth, as hell is often thought of today. The difference being that all the dead are believed to be in Sheol where only the evil are in hell.


And my footnote… why would anyone be in hell now. There has yet to be the judgment.

And Luke 16 clarifies that there are two compartments of that place, one for the lost and one for the saved. Why is that so hard for you to see? Look at the context of the people that are going there in the old testament.
I'll give you an example
Proverbs 7:27 KJV — Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
Proverbs 9:18 KJV — But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

The proverb says the the whoremongers were in hell. The new testament is clear about whoremongers and fornicators. How can you say they are in paradise?
