Baseball is hard to understand unless you’re a fan of the sport for a while. A far superior team can lose 2 of 3 to a rag-tag bunch. Heck, even the Rockies have 10 wins this season, including one over the Yankees.
Little Rock might be the worst team in the tournament and they have a very real chance to eliminate LSU in their own backyard. its crazy.

It's not that things were said, it's what was said. They'll let you jaw to a point. But say the wrong thing and you will be rung.
Yep, their magical vaguely enforced rules that allow them to influence the outcome by facing no accountability for when they arbitrarily decide to make a big call.

On other subjects, these umpires have really been inserting themselves in games and in Duke and our cases giving handicaps for Super regionals Clark got hit by a pitch that was almost 100 mph-- and there was a ruckus. I'd want to throw things and curse, too. And what did Peebles say that got him ejected?
Home plate ump is from Arkansas, too. So there’s that.
Just like the guy who was the closet LSU fan a few years ago- there are a lot of moving parts with the officials. They have an uncanny amount of influence.

He's right but nothing good comes of saying **** like this to your fan base.. I wish he'd stop complaining about them every time someone puts a mic in his face even if I do agree with him on almost all points.
I guess the question is, what does he have to lose? He wants something to change with the fan base. Either "we" will or "we" won't. At which point, if he doesn't like it, he can go wherever he chooses.

Camera cut away from him pretty quick (around once he got past the first-base-line-area) and focused on the celebration.

From a production crew standpoint, it’s the right call; focusing on the celebration’s keeps people on the channel longer post-game.
Coaches shook hands and then raced and jumped into a players arms. Easy to see why the guys like playing for him. He's having the time of his life.

Fair enough, but there's nowhere he can go in this conference that won't treat him exactly the same after a certain point of sustained success. Everyone gets greedy.

Good finish after a quick start by Wake. They are no slouch and good enough to be in Supers themselves.

They are no SEV as a whole has made a pitiful showing for 13 teams in. Ole Miss tried a comeback but had no business being down 12-3 in the first place. Little Rock is all over LSU at the moment. The league could very well send only 2 to the supers if LSU loses out of 13 teams. Maybe 3 if I counted wrong.

That's exactly what he's doing, and he's earned the right to do it. Every time Alabama lost a game, Saban would say "what more do you want from me? be thankful" in much more political speech.

But this isn't football, and our fans don't really get it unfortunately. Baseball is much more fickle a game, and they will have to realize that on their own.. Tony telling them will just make them think it's excuse making. I've seen enough of our football turned baseball fans retorts to Tony on twitter.
Good point. We have a championship winning coaching staff and that’s as good as anyone can hope for. Vandy and Ole Miss didn’t lose because they didn’t have enough talent or the right coaches. It just happens.

I just know our fan base. He has the keys to the city right now, but that won't last forever if you openly antagonize them, especially if you have a bad season. Basically he will get the opposite of what he's asking for the more he asks for it.
Should always remember "It is never not very far from the Penthouse to the Outhouse"

Nothing wrong with what he said. It’d still be a great run to have made 3 of the last 6 years. That’s tough in baseball to even do that. We’ve made 5of 6 supers.
