Merged the Marvin West column here? Oh Boy, such respect for an old VFL from the 1950's. And National Halls Of Fame Writer? Read the Man's Bio. Not one on here has even come close to his achievements. Very few in the entire Country have. Wow, VN, that's amazing.

You sure seem entitled. The more you criticize VN and the posters the less interested I am in the articles you post.

It has nothing to be with being thin-skinned. The first word he used isn't the problem. It's the second word. It's a slur that degrades an entire group of people. There are other words like that - I don't need to name them - and society doesn't accept those words. An apology was warranted in this case - not because of the F bomb but because of the slur that followed it.

I disagree. I don’t like the word but I also don’t like people saying JC or G*D but I’m not gonna get offended by it and call people out. You take that ‘f’ word away and others similar and then it gets to current times where you can’t call him a him because he wants to be called a her.

Yep. Furthermore, it’s the opposite of thin-skinned to stand up and say something is wrong when that might not be popular. Sure as hell isn’t popular in Tennessee and the South.

The thin-skinned ones are the one bitching about political correctness and “snowflakes” because they don’t like that they can’t degrade others with impunity. And frankly, that’s the easy thing to do. The hard thing to do is to stand up and say it’s wrong to degrade other human beings for their sexuality, culture, race, heritage, etc.

What Coach Walter said was wrong. Period. Let’s all have the balls to say that.

Interesting that you left religion off of your list during your rant.

Truth be known Burns move there was not impressed with the outcome...
That "pitching lab" has been vastly overrated IMO. If the pitching coach (Muscara) follows O'Connor to Missy State like is being rumored they're gonna expect big things, and I get a feeling they might be disappointed with the end product.

Been listening to the fall out from some free but not so friendly speech last night and various articles. Don’t like it but, I would be the pot calling the kettle black. I’ve grown out of cussing out of respect for my elders. Both coaches should have spoken to each other this morning then issued a joint apology and promise to coach character of players as well as the play of players. This is the way it is everywhere. I agree with bringing prayer back to the start of the game and conclusion. One thing I appreciate about NASCAR. My two cents.

Pretty sure most teams pray before the games. Also pretty sure it must be player led. I remember a court order preventing our coach from leading our pregame prayer. Not a problem. We had his back.

If anyone wants to see the pitching lab in human form, take a a look at Frank Anderson. The improvement of Marcus and Doyle from last year is phenomenal. They're talented no doubt, but Frank is maximizing that talent.

Lots of talk that the Wake Forest head coach wanted the Mississippi St job badly. Apparently he was campaigning pretty hard behind the scenes to get it and is pissed he didn’t. Going to be real funny when his pitching coach leaves him to go there.
