That was a very soft ejection, but you have to be a bit more aware of the stakes and keep it zipped with the game almost over and a 5-run lead at that point.

For those saying shame on pencil thin, way more has been said by several players on both sides tonight without repercussions.

Was it all said close enough that the umpire could easily hear it without any doubt as to what the player was saying though? That seemed to mostly be the determining factor here


(I’m going to presume there was a fair chance it was said at/about the umpire…but that’s just a presumption on my end, so no real weight there either.)
