I think at the end of the day, we really enjoy travel and take the opportunity to travel with my family since they are always inviting us (but we also invite Kevin's, they just decline), and he just wishes they would want to see the world too.

My parents are talking about doing a New England State/Canada cruise, they just don't know when, likely in two years. And we said we would be interested, I loved the NE area last year, and have always wanted to go to Nova Scotia.

My sister and aunt are also very interested in going

So Kevin mentioned it to his parents this weekend, hard to gauge their interest, but we'll see.

I think the other tough thing is that we all get together in Charleston

Kevin's brothers and parents are all spread out and do not get together on a yearly basis

I think the last time we were all together was in 2014

And we all mentioned at that time lets get together next year at Disney for New Years

 

[volwindy]

Just us, Kevin's parents, and the brother's family that was already in Florida

The one in Indiana and the one in Texas did not come

I think there is frustration that we all can't get together at the same time

But from an outsider, I get it

Kevin's brother in Florida - they have 4 children, 3 of which are at 3 different colleges in Florida. They are now also fostering children! So it is like how can we get them to go anywhere other than Florida?

Kevin's brother in Texas - they have 2 children, I can't remember their ages, but one in high school, and one in middle. The middle is a very talented dancer, so she is traveling and going to competitions non-stop. So when can we get something to work with the dance schedule?

Those two brothers are older. There is a large gap in age between those two and Kevin and the younger brother.

The younger brother in Indiana is just starting their family. They have kids 1-5.

 

[volwindy]

So they aren't as willing to travel with toddlers

 

[volwindy]

So I told Kevin and his Mom, you have to do what my family does. Plan travel or get togethers, and whoever comes, comes.

Not everyone will, but you get what you can sometimes.

My brother is planning a Disney cruise in 2022 or 2024, I can't remember.

He brought it up this weekend again

He wants everyone to come

Of course my parents will go
