It’s made-from-scratch chili with steak and beans and among others things corn meal and chocolate and cinnamon. In the unlikely event that it ever gets done (note to self: they call them slow cooker for a reason), I’ll post it in whoosy-whopper’s* recipe thread.

I'll be there for a bowl in 2 hours!!😄

I miss the references (from when Gavin was mayor of SF) as “Mayor Gavin Fancy-Pants.” And his seriously on-the-verge-of-death-anorexic then-wife, who has now apparently hooked up with some big dog in the Other Party?

And Leah Garchik. I do miss her. She was great.

edit to add: I was thinking of a different skinny wife. At some point it will occur to me who I’m remembering
Ah, the Seriously Skinny Wife (really, she looked as if she might arrest at any moment) was Vanessa Getty. (yes, those Gettys)

And it was the first Missus Newsom who is now the main squeeze of Donald Jr.

Politics and high society make for some weird combos.

Sorry all, back to life in WNC.

I actually have been in Gordon Getty’s mansion on top of Pac Heights, uppity I know. The Gav and Getty were partners in the Plumpjack group.

I hope that one day, you’ll share with us what it is you do for a living, and that I’ll see it.

I used to drive through Sea Cliff every morning on the way to work and wonder what it would be like to live there. Didn’t want to, but awfully damn curious.

I don’t do anything fancy and I ain’t got no money.

I was there because my wife’s PR firm was putting on a fundraiser/book signing for Bob Woodruff’s book after he was severely injured in Iraq. It was pretty off the charts.

Yeah, I liked cruising through Sea Cliff. Biked through there a lot.

Joe, so I got a tbone cooked for me tonight and then found out we are getting up early to help a friend at her bar, he is doing the front of the house and I’m doing the back. Tbone was good but...... she is a good person and I really don’t mind helping. 🙂

Does the bar open in the morning for soccer?
