Into the woods behind my house that we own. Trash won't pick them, and the landfill won't even take them. I hate burning leaves, a few isn't bad, but it's hard with as many as we get.

It’s made-from-scratch chili with steak and beans and among others things corn meal and chocolate and cinnamon. In the unlikely event that it ever gets done (note to self: they call them slow cooker for a reason), I’ll post it in whoosy-whopper’s* recipe thread.

A cool new bar just opened a block from my place, which is a block closer than the other bars where everybody knows my name. They will soon know my name here.

They can’t serve alcohol yet, but they are pouring free Prosecco, yeah for free sparkling.

I hear ya, but are leaves on the ground the issue in Northern Cal? I thought it was more crown-to-crown hopping and maybe deadwood on the ground. (We sure never had an issue with dead leaves in Point Richmond. I don’t know how people find enough “brown” to compost.)

No, I was just referencing leaves on the trees. Though someone rather high up in office thinks Gavin needs to spend more time raking forest floors.

He is fancy pants. Don’t forget the scandal involving one of his close confidants wife.

I like the Gav. My ex worked in PR so I got to go to a lot of fancy events. He was always very nice and approachable.
