They've had 7 first downs. We've only had 13. 7 first downs is not dominant to me. The D is playing good to very good against a weak opponent but not dominant. A dominant performance would be not letting them cross midfield and only giving up 1 to 2 first downs at the most in the half.

It's just one of those things that happen every once in a while. We let Vandy's receivers wall us off on the 1yd line and he fell backwards into the end zone.

this is a very good opportunity to get younger players some reps during the time that the game is not decided. We saw emphasis on the run game in the first half to get reps on film for Lane, Davis, Crawford and Lampley on right side of the line. Young running backs with Evans gone to practice the run game.

When you catch an opponent late in year that there is no fear of losing, good time to experiment with these young guys. That is what I saw happening in the first half today..

Now the breakdown with the DBs on the final play of half will be a great teaching moment. Those guys absolutely blew their responsibilities.

I prefer we play well and also win. I want to see a bowl win and by more than one score. I believe how you play and win to be a look ahead at the next win or loss.

It's dominant from our defense. They had 4 of those 7 first downs on one drive and it ended in a punt. They had 3 first downs on the other 6 drives.
