The Bulldogs are entering their third season under head coach Nick McDevitt. McDevitt succeeded long-time Asheville head coach Eddie Biedenbach (whom McDevitt both played and coached under).
Asheville downed Division II Brevard 76-64 in the Bulldogs' lone exhibition contest Saturday.
The Bulldogs enter the season with nine of their 15 players either freshmen or sophomores.
Last season, Asheville finished 15-16 overall and 10-8 in Big South Conference action.
The Bulldogs boast an experienced frontcourt, which features seniors John Cannon and Sam Hughes (6.1 ppg, 3.7 rpg) as well as juniors Giacomo Zilli (5.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg) and Will Weeks (4.5 ppg, 4.5 rag).
Returners David Robertson (10.7 ppg, 2.7 apg) and Kevin Vannatta (7.6 ppg, .389 3FG) are expected to be key contributors in the backcourt.
