4 for 8 (rushing)…….vs Tech scrubs

Hooker commanded the O better
Hooker threw it better
Hooker ran it better
Hooker simply had a turnover trying to get “more” from a play.

Correct. However, they always get up for our game and have the players to compete. After Vandy, S. Car and Mizzou, would be the next winnable game, but we will be underdogs. At this point I believe we sit at:

95% Chance to beat South Alabama
90% chance to beat Vandy
70% chance to beat South Carolina
50% chance to beat Mizzou
45% chance on Kentucky

I don't see this offense working in the SEC. It might have a chance with an exceptional QB but UT does not have an exceptional QB. I don't know how important Co. Mayes is to this OLine but they're outta synch since he's not been playing. Don't matter who's QBing opposing defenses are sending blitz after blitz and we haven't shown a decent run game last 2 games. The cupcakes are history.

I said he looked better throwing the ball. I I truly think he did. I didn't say he was worlds better at it. I also said that Hooker should start. You illustrated several reasons why. But most of those were not even part of the conversation. I said he threw a better ball, that's all. Jesus.

But the complaints were Bailey would make those passes. Then when he missed a few the goal post got moved to well the other guys were doing it too or WR not catching which our WR missed some of Hookers passes a WR needs to catch and also needs to help his QB at times. That's what the good ones do...

It’s fine to have that opinion.

However I certainly have a different one. I don’t understand how anyone could come up with that conclusion off of that game.

He had 7 passes…….vs Tech scrubs.

He completed 3


Does he have a nicer spiral? Heck I don’t know…….but for me……in that game…..in NO way did Bailey look better than Hooker.

Not as a passer…..not as anything……given the sample size.

I have never advocated for Bailey, other than getting a shot today after Hooker turned the ball over and later to get some reps in case Hooker gets hurt. I never made the arguments against Hooker passing either. I only point out a couple of really ugly throws to the sideline. I felt they were worse than Bailey's mis-ques. You are refuting arguments I didn't make. I have never advocated Bailey being the starter, and haven't started today.

With the Pitt loss, the challenge is finding that 6th win. Having said that I don't count any game on the schedule as a "sure win". From North Texas to Ga State, I've seen us lay some real bad losses. Even the great one went down to a Memphis State team that had "no chance".

Again, Hooker's missed passes (not counting the deep ball, that was about the same) looked worse than Bailey's. I felt Bailey "threw a better ball". At no point did I say Bailey looked like a better QB than Hooker. Which is why I said Hooker should start next week. If you want an argument with a die hard Bailey supporter, go find one.
