I agree with you here. This is a team sooo used to losing and we’re in for a rough season as fans. But if you step back and think holistically, even with the bad(ish) QB play….we have chinks in the armor that are being addressed. The coaching is better than the last three administrations and it’s apparent.

Is it perfect? No … will it get us “back” ? I’m not fully convinced.

BUT is it an improvement? In my humble, absolutely.

New system, new starting QB, banged up offense, and we’re up 21-0 early in the 2nd quarter. I think we’re ok at the moment.

Again, your framing it around points. Another drive where a 4th down conversation was needed. All 3 scoring drives have required 4th down conversations. The score that you love looks good but this level of play against TTU is not going to get it done.
