This offense will require more qb mobility. All qbs are required to complete passes. Even those under coaches like Paul Johnson that run the triple option. However, there are different styles of offense. HB is a more prototypical NFL style pocket passer. This offense isn’t built around pocket passers. If you don’t understand those nuances…study a little football. I trust Heupel to put in the qb that he thinks will run his offense best regardless of who I want in. Btw, I’m in Marietta, GA right down the street from where HB played. I want him to succeed and ball out. At the same time I’m going to trust our coaches to put our team in the best position to win.Does this offense not require completing passes and throwing the ball?
I don't normally like to do this and be the board monitor, but this is the first game after the awful offseason. I think the incessant complaining is ridiculous. We lost a lot in the offseason. The program was embarrassed with the 3-7 season and the cheating scandel.
I'm just going to enjoy this win and be happy for the program. It's been a long offseason. I think we'll see drastic improvement but this is a 6-6 type team.
Milton throws a long TD and his detractors STILL complain about it, lol.
3 TDs for Milton today.
I’m no fan-boy of any QB, but the constant hate this guy has gotten for one game (and the love-fest for a 3rd stringer) is really bizarre and makes me want to see Milton as starter until it’s TRULY demonstrated he’s not starter material.
Bailey had all Spring to win the job and is behind 2 transfer QBs. We don’t have a large enough sample on which to judge either Milton or Hooker as “not the answer,” yet the guy with the most experience with this team is 3rd. That should tell us something.

Our QB was ineffective huh? How many balls did receivers drop tonight? Send Danny White your resume and tell him you can fix things. No but we did well running the ball. Passing plays are ineffective when you have an inaccurate qb. Might as well throw in your accurate passer and leave the running plays to your rb’s.

My feeling is that you should assume things are typical until proven otherwise. Not expecting milton to become joe burrow out of the blue after this. Didn’t see more than two or three throws into tight coverage today but they only threw a handful of times so i’m going to give it a bit of pass for nowI'd love to hear from all those people who swore up and down that Milton's sub-50% completion percentage from last year meant nothing. Since he threw tonight for 47%. Against Bowling Green.
