The Official Tennessee vs. #13 Ole Miss Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, SEC Network

Get over it.

There is no scenario where it is OK for fans to be throwing stuff on the field to the point the home team has to pull their own cheerleaders off the sidelines.
Oh I agree that is not OK for the actions of our fans. It is totally embarrassing to the University, the Athletic Department, the coaches, and the football players. fAny fan who is identified as participating in the throwing of any material on the field or at players and coaches should be banned from attending any University of future Tennessee athletic event, and if they were students, they should be expelled from the University.

Whether it’s game speed or not, 99.9% would’ve at least attempted to throw a pass towards the endzone. Milton is the lone .1%. Can’t say I ever remember a QB doing that from the 20 yard line with 3 seconds left. It may not have been anywhere close to a receiver or the endzone but I’m making for damn sure I’m throwing it that direction. Running is not an option in that situation. Pretty much common sense on that play.
And why run out of bounds he is a big fastish guy do everything you can to score

Could not make that determination based on the video. If they had made to spot at the first down it would have not been overturned.

Yes it would have. They would have timed up the wide angle and endzone angle replays like they do for all reviews (with multiple angles)….. it was clear when it his knee was down in one angle and clear where the ball was when knee was down in another angle. They time these angles up together in the review booth. When you time them up and combine the knee down with ball placement, he was short. This isn’t a conspiracy

no, there was a camera angle when you could see that he had it at his waist. Then when you see where his knee goes down in another angle, you know where the ball is.

1.) We don’t have a successful program.
2.) Alcohol is a part of fandom.
3.) Tennessee needs to win the game.

1) We aspire to. That aspiration just took a HUGE hit tonite.
2) Apparently, it shouldn't be for the trashy criminals throwing objects at people on the field tonite.
3) Tennessee needs to build a classy program. A game like this is a hindrance to buidling any kind of successful program.

He had it cradled at his waist and it was short of the 40. Game of inches. Sucks but true.

Yep, can't argue it, he was probably short either way. No video angle said otherwise. IMO....they need to synchronize replays......knee, ball, etc. Still not saying he'd have made it. But the spot? Total BS.

Whoah, hold up Boss. You really want to expel a kid from school for throwing something at a football game? The punishment doesn't meet the crime here. Should they punished, of course. But expelling them from the University? That will significantly alter their life for the worst over a dumb mistake they made as a kid.

Sorry man. Just irritated at the whole thing.

Im not condoning throwing stuff at Kiffin but that is more understandable than hitting our own cheerleaders and band with water bottles.

There was stuff being thrown on the band as they were leaving the field. Our own band.

Just mind numbing stupid behavior by some of the fans tonight.

And the #1 Twitter trend in AMERICA for ALL CATEGORIES is Tennessee. I am sure this will help recruiting and building a program!

The spot should have been on top of the 40 yard line. That is where the chest/ball was when knee touched. It would have been a close measurement, but the spot was nowhere near accurate and should have at least been corrected. NO attempt to correct the ridiculous spot was the breaking point for the fans.
