He had over 1000 yards last year.I think he has a few more years left in him.Hat, if you are out there, what is your take on Jamal's status/longivity as a running back?I know you like him.

Ok, 4-5 times a game was a bit harsh. But still... Kind of a marginal player last year. Not really a #1 guy anymore, any team that runs with Jam HAS to have another go-to back.

1000 yards on the number of carries he had isn't that great. Henry had more yards on 50 less carries. Jamal is maybe the best back to ever come out of UT, but I don't think he's at the same level he used to be.

His body has broken down on him after his 2,000 yard season. He has no burst upfield. Much rather have Henry on the Titans than Lewis.

McGahee is younger than Jamal, therefore the longevity factor

That just means McGahee has more time to get injured, which he has done a pretty good job of throughout his career.

Okay tid, let's put it this way. You have 2 injury prone running backs. Would you rather have one in his prime or one out of his prime?

But what good does he do you if he stays hurt? Why does Buffalo want to rid themselves of him is another question? :detective:

And we've gotten absolutely nothing so far.. If we let Henry get away, I'm going to be really infuriated with this organization. Reinfeldt better get this show on the road..

yeah, they are one of the 2 or 3 teams with the most cap room, yet all they have done is cut the starting running back. they have the opportunity to sign at least one or two studs, they better do it. If they sign a couple of no-name guys hoping they turn into pro-bowlers, i'm gonna be ticked

titans will sign jamal and donte stallworth. this will open up the draft for help in the defensive backfield.

jamal lewis averaged 3.6 ypc last year, if i have a running back averaging a first down every three carries, i'm happy. he will be better next season though.

Give LenDale a chance to grow into the job before tossing him overboard folks. Not saying we don't need to sign a quality back if Cheese doesn't re-sign, just saying White has the tools, so give him the time...

Titans need to get their old GM back.
What should he have done? Pay Drew 3 times what he is worth like the Rams did? He is at best a solid #3 WR and it would have been a very dumb move to eat up that much cap space for him. As far as Henry goes I would to lose him, but he is not gone yet. I would say the Titans have just as good a shot at signing him as anyone else. This is a strange year in free agency. There are just not a lot of top players available so everyone is getting paid well over their value because the crop is so thin. The Titans are still a couple of years away from being a real contender so what sense would it make to blow your cap space on a couple of players who are not worth the money? If they were a player or two from being SB contenders fine....but that is not the case. The reason the titans have been so bad the last few years is because the cap was not managed well so I don't have a problem with not spending domperignon money on a case of bud light.

I agree. He is a physical runner, and I think it has taken a toll.......he is past his prime.

It would be fun to see donte on the titans but if i'm a gm i wouldn't pay him the money he will get because he is hurt way too much. I would rather draft a wr

Thomas wouldn't fit in the titans defense, Clements would have been way too expensive, Drew getting 6 million a year is so far out of whack it's not even funny, and Henry may be back.....it will be OK. I would rather sit back and watch other teams OVERPAY than be back in salary cap jail in 2 years.

Has anybody heard what kind of money it's going to take to land Stallworth? I have not really heard what he is looking for but he could be a great pickup at the right price.

i think the Titans have to draft a safety. if there is one big hole in the defense, it is at safety. Then again, who knows what will happen with the whole Pacman thing.
I agree that safety is a big need.....Thompson is terrible. I keep hearing that the Titans are pretty happy with what they have behind Thompson, so I don"t think they draft safety early but it would not surprise me to see them sign a FA such as D. Grant.
