Gonna be a very long season unless they get some things fixed. That’s the problem with Vrabels philosophy of grinding it out, keeping things close and letting things come down to the last second to try for a win.
The “smartest guy in the room” syndrome plagues sports. Guys who refuse to make the obvious and correct play calls because they want to be recognized for their creativity and genius.
I’m personally not a terribly huge fan of being on a shorter list of NFL team that can’t regularly kick (or seemingly even considers kicking) FGs 50 yards or longer.
I applaud and understand the appreciation of accuracy on the lower end, but I feel like being able to make 50-55/56 yard field goals is a necessity in this league.
Well last year's opening day loss was worse than this one and looked what happened. Other potential championship teams didn't look good either with the Bengals, Rams, and Packers all losing too.
